View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn this work, CuM/CeO (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Zr) catalysts with a low Cu content of 1 wt% were purposely designed and prepared using the co-impregnation method. The samples were characterized using various techniques (TG-DTA, XRD, N-adsorption/desorption measurements, H-TPR, XPS and Raman spectroscopy) and CO preferential oxidation (CO-Prox) under H/CO-rich conditions was performed. The results have shown that enhanced catalytic performance was achieved upon the introduction of Mn, Co and Ni, and little impact was observed with Zr doping, but Fe showed a negative effect, as compared with the Cu/CeO catalyst.

The aim of this study was to develop the composite films with antioxidant and biodegradable activity based on egg white protein (EWP) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Water susceptibility, light transmittance, microstructure and antioxidant properties of the composite films without and with EGCG were fully characterized. It was noted that the addition of EGCG might decrease the moisture content, water solubility and swelling capacity.

Herein, molybdates (NiFe(MoO ) ) are applied as unique precursors to synthesize ultrafine Mo modified NiFeO H (oxy)hydroxide nanosheet arrays. The electrochemical activation process enables the molybdate ions (MoO ) in the precursors gradually dissolve, and at the same time, hydroxide ions (OH ) in the electrolyte diffuse into the precursor and react with Ni and Fe ions in confined space to produce ultrafine NiFeO H (oxy)hydroxides nanosheets (<10 nm), which are densely arranged into microporous arrays and maintain the rod-like morphology of the precursor.

Here, we suggest that monolayer NaWOBr can host electrically tunable hyperbolic plasmon polaritons for infrared light first-principles calculations. 2D monolayer NaWOBr exhibits an extremely anisotropic metallic property: conducting for one direction but almost insulating for the other direction, which could be considered as a 2D analogue of metal/dielectric multilayers, a typical structure for hyperbolic metamaterials.

However, the roles of the NMDAR GluN2A subunit in acquisition and extinction of auditory fear memory as well as synaptic plasticity at T-LA synapses remain unclear. Here, using electrophysiologic, molecular biological techniques and behavioral methods, we found that the forebrain specific GluN2A overexpression transgenic (TG) mice exhibited normal acquisition but impaired extinction of auditory fear memory.
