Article Synopsis

This study uses high-throughput technologies and Machine Learning to identify gene biomarkers in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) by analyzing gene expression in 172 IBD patients compared to 22 healthy individuals.
Six Differentially Expressed Gene (DEG) biomarkers were discovered, with the Random Forest model achieving high accuracy and performance metrics exceeding 0.98.
The findings were validated with additional datasets, revealing novel IBD biomarkers and emphasizing the need for further research to enhance diagnostic tools and treatments for IBD.
