Magnesium alloys hold promise as bio-implants but are hindered by poor corrosion resistance. To overcome this, a pH-sensitive smart anti-corrosion bio-coating was developed using a layer-by-layer technique. The first layer consists of Imidazol@waterproofed γ-Cyclodextrin metal organic framework (ImH@waterproofed γ-CD MOF), which encapsulates ImH, a green inhibitor, in waterproofed γ-CD MOF.

The main aim of the present study was the measurement of nickel metal ion in the real samples of crab, oyster and rice by the designed magnetic nano adsorbent silk fibroin-EDTA ligand (SF-FeO-EDTA). Due to the structure of silk fibroin (possessing lots of functional groups which are suitable for attachment of ligands and high surface area), it was used in the structure of fabricated nano-adsorbent. To follow the fabrication processes of the magnetic nano-adsorbent, different techniques of fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Visible), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) were used.

Calcium activates NADPH oxidase-5 (NOX5) that leads to ROS generation. The calcium channel of sperm (CatSper) is activated by progesterone and intracellular alkalization.

The fabrication processes of electrochemical biosensor were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FT-IR and electrochemical methods. Some experimental conditions such as immobilization time of probe DNA and MCH incubation time, time and temperature of hybridization were optimized.

Objective: To compare the frequency of nTregs in peripheral blood of patients with active rheumatoid disease with healthy individuals.
Background: Resveratrol has beneficial effects on cardiovascular system. This study aimed at examining antidiabetic and antihypertensive effects of resveratrol in rats with simultaneous type 2 diabetes and renal hypertension.
Methods: Eight groups (8-10 each) of male Spargue-Dawley rats, including a control, a diabetic (induced by streptozotocin and nicotinamide), a renal hypertensive (induced by placing plexiglas clips on the left renal arteries), a sham, a simultaneously hypertensive-diabetic receiving vehicle, and 3 simultaneous hypertensive-diabetic receiving resveratrol at 5, 10 or 20 mg/kg/day were used.
Background: B cell CLL/lymphoma 2 protein, bcl-2, is an important anti-apoptotic factor that has been implicated in lithium's neuroprotective effect. However, most studies have focused on assessing the effects of lithium in neurons, ignoring examination of bcl-2 in astrocytes, which also influence neuronal survival and are affected in bipolar disorder. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether chronic lithium treatment also elevates bcl-2 expression in astrocytes compared with neuronal and mixed neuron-astrocyte cultures.

In the present study, we investigated the prognostic significance of different T cell subsets in the peripheral blood of NHL patients. Immunophenotyping was performed on the peripheral blood samples of 45 patients with newly diagnosed B cell NHL using flow cytometry.

Selected alpha-aminophosphonates were entered into a biological assay test and were studied by docking methods, using Autodock 3.0.

The results of cyclic voltammetry, double potential-step chronoamperometry, linear sweep voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) studies were used for the prediction of the mechanism of electrochemical oxidation of AA mediated with 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone at the surface of the modified electrode. The diffusion coefficient (D = 2.
