Background And Aims: Coronary angiography-derived wall shear stress (WSS) may enable identification of vulnerable plaques and patients. A new recently introduced software allows seamless three-dimensional quantitative coronary angiography (3D-QCA) reconstruction and WSS computation within a single user-friendly platform carrying promise for clinical applications. We aim to evaluate different CCTA reconstruction approaches in assessing vessel characteristics in coronary atheroma using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) as the reference standard.
Methods: Matched cross-sections (n = 7241) from 50 vessels in 15 participants with chronic coronary syndrome who prospectively underwent CCTA and 3-vessel near-infrared spectroscopy-IVUS were included.
In nature, fungal endophytes often have facultative endohyphal bacteria (FEB). Can a model plant pathogenic fungus have them, and does it affect their phenotype? We constructed a growth system/microcosm to allow an isolate to grow through natural soil and then re-isolated it on a gentamicin-containing medium, allowing endohyphal growth of bacteria while killing other bacteria. PH-1 labelled with a gene staining the fungal nuclei fluorescent red was used to confirm the re-isolation of the fungus.

Previous studies reported the localization of SUMO-1 during oocyte meiosis, and that overexpression of Sentrin/SUMO-specific protease 2 (SENP2), a de-SUMOylation protease, altered SUMO-modified proteins, and caused defects in metaphase-II spindle organization. In this study, we detailed the consequences of SUMO-1-mediated SUMOylation by either inhibition of SUMO-1 or UBC9 with a specific antibody or their depletion by specific siRNA microinjection.
