Conservative surgical repair of placenta increta invading into uterine septum: case report.

Background: The prevalence of placenta accreta spectrum is on the rise, primarily as a consequence of an increasing number of Cesarean sections. Nevertheless, uterine anomalies, particularly uterine septum, pose a notable risk factor for its occurrence. While there are limited case reports documenting the association between uterine septum and placenta adherence, most of these cases have been linked to prior hysteroscopic treatment of the septum.

Hilfer-Katugampola fractional stochastic differential inclusions with Clarke sub-differential.

The objective of this paper is to investigate the existence of mild solutions and optimal controls for a class of stochastic Hilfer-Katugampola fractional differential inclusions (SHKFDIs) with non-instantaneous impulsive (NIIs) that is strengthened by Brownian motion (BM) and the Clarke sub-differential. First, we establish a new set of sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions of the aforementioned fractional systems by using stochastic analysis, the Clarke sub-differential's characteristics, and the multi-valued fixed point theorem. Subsequently, by employing Balder's theorem, the existence of optimal control pairs for the considered system is investigated.

Vaginal length and sexual function after vertical versus horizontal closure of the vaginal cuff after abdominal hysterectomy: a randomised clinical trial.

This randomised clinical trial aimed to evaluate the vaginal length and female sexual function after vertical and horizontal closure of the vaginal cuff after abdominal hysterectomy. The patients were allocated into two groups, vertical closure and horizontal closure groups. The vaginal length was determined using transperineal ultrasound, once preoperative and again 3 months after the operation.

COVID-19 deterministic and stochastic modelling with optimized daily vaccinations in Saudi Arabia.

In this paper, we investigate the stochastic nature of the COVID-19 temporal dynamics by generating a fractional-order dynamic model and a fractional-order-stochastic model. Initially, we considered the first and second vaccination doses as multiple vaccinations were initiated worldwide. The concerned models are then tested for the Saudi Arabia second virus wave, which is assumed to start on 1st March 2021.

Fractional stochastic models for COVID-19: Case study of Egypt.

In this paper, COVID-19 dynamics are modelled with three mathematical dynamic models, fractional order modified SEIRF model, stochastic modified SEIRF model, and fractional stochastic modified SEIRF model, to characterize and predict virus behavior. By using Euler method and Euler-Murayama method, the numerical solutions for the considered models are obtained. The considered models are applied to the case study of Egypt to forecast COVID-19 behavior for the second virus wave which is assumed to be started on 15 November 2020.

Subcutaneous formulation of belimumab in treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus: a critical review with focus on safety and satisfaction.

Belimumab is a novel add-on therapy that has been approved for patients with active and antibody-mediated systemic lupus erythematosus. It is a monoclonal antibody that decreases the activation of B-cells and consequently decreases antibodies' production. Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration approved subcutaneous belimumab for patients who have received training on using it.

Optimal management of umbilical cord prolapse.

Umbilical cord prolapse (UCP) is an uncommon obstetric emergency that can have significant neonatal morbidity and/or mortality. It is diagnosed by seeing/palpating the prolapsed cord outside or within the vagina in addition to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Women at higher risk of UCP include multiparas with malpresentation.

Acute Disseminated Histoplasmosis with Atypical Lymphocytosis in an Immunocompetent Host.

65 year-old-male presented with a one-week history of high grade fever, fatigue and confusion which began abruptly two days after a cystoscopy procedure. Past medical history included pulmonary sarcoidosis diagnosed by mediastinal lymph biopsy, diabetes and hypertension. On admission he was febrile and confused with stable vital signs.

Rupture of the pregnant uterus - a 20-year review.

Objectives: To examine the incidence, causative factors, maternal and foetal outcomes and subsequent fertility in cases of uterine rupture in scarred and unscarred uteri.

Methods: A 20 years' retrospective review was carried out where relevant data were collected from the medical records. Outcome measures included labour characteristics, operative procedures, maternal and perinatal outcome in addition to subsequent fertility.

Maternal serum interleukin-6 in the management of patients with preterm premature rupture of membranes.

Aim: To evaluate the clinical usefulness of maternal serum interleukin-6 for the detection of subclinical chorioamnionitis and in the prediction of the latency period in patients with preterm premature rupture of membrane (PPROM).

Methods: The study group included 60 patients at 24-34 weeks of gestation complaining of PPROM. Laboratory investigations included serial measurements of IL-6, TLC and CRP.

Direct detection of hyaluronidase in urine using cationic gold nanoparticles: a potential diagnostic test for bladder cancer.

Hyaluronidase (HAase) was reported as a urinary marker of bladder cancer. In this study, a simple colorimetric gold nanoparticle (AuNP) assay was developed for rapid and sensitive detection of urinary HAase activity. Charge interaction between polyanionic hyaluronic acid (HA) and cationic AuNPs stabilized with cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) led to formation of gold aggregates and a red to blue color shift.
