Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to assess how different depths of dental implant penetration into the maxillary sinus cavity affect implant and sinus health in dogs, using a sample of four female dogs with eight titanium implants.
  • - After five months, all groups showed no inflammation, with the 1 mm protrusion group having full bone coverage, the 2 mm group partially covered, and the 3 mm group showing no bone formation or communication with the sinus cavity.
  • - The conclusion suggests that even with varying depths of penetration into the sinus, the implants did not negatively impact sinus health or stability in the canine model.
