Background: Orthorexia nervosa (ON) is defined as a pathological fixation on eating healthy and pure food. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Düsseldorf orthorexia scale (DOS) in a clinical sample.
Methods: A total of 385 individuals, 117 with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), 108 with major depressive disorder (MDD), 56 with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and 104 healthy controls, participated in the study.
COVID-19 may affect central nervous system. The symptoms related to the CNS may occur through the direct neuroinvasion of the virus, inflammation, autoimmunity, psychosocial stressors and treatment side effects. COVID-19 can increase the severity of existing mental illnesses and also trigger the onset of a new mental illness.

Purpose: The term orthorexia nervosa is used to describe the pathological fixation associated with consuming healthy food. It is assumed that orthorexia nervosa shares some phenomenological features with anorexia nervosa, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other mental disorders. Individuals with orthorexic tendencies may have high physical activity as well as a healthy diet.
