Objective: Clerkship grades are a component of determining a residency candidate's competitiveness. In 2017, the University of Minnesota Medical School's pediatric clerkship transitioned its standardized multiple-choice exam, the Aquifer Pediatrics Examination, to pass/fail with eligibility for honors being determined by clinical performance, not exam performance. Methods: In this retrospective study, we used multivariate and instrumental variable regressions to examine how the timing and order of patients are associated with the use of diagnostic imaging. Outcomes include whether a patient receives a radiograph, a computed tomography (CT) scan, an ultrasound, and 7-day bouncebacks to the ED.

Se-Te generated with static illumination exhibited a highly anisotropic lamellar morphology with a characteristic feature pitch proportional to the input wavelength. Growth using first a short wavelength of light, followed by growth using a longer wavelength, resulted in the second-stage morphology exhibiting termination of lamellae formed during the first growth step.

Motion-corrected (MOCO) cines from re-binned, reconstructed real-time cine offer a free-breathing, rapid acquisition resulting in cines with high spatial and temporal resolution. Patients with schizophrenia have an increased risk of violent behavior, and occupy a large percentage of forensic beds. Most patients in forensic psychiatry have already undergone general psychiatric therapy. View Article and Find Full Text PDFHighly periodic, geometrically directed, anisotropic Se-Pb films have been synthesized at room temperature from an isotropic aqueous solution without the use of physical templates by photoelectrodeposition using a series of discrete input illumination polarizations and wavelengths from an unstructured, uncorrelated, incoherent light source. Dark growth did not generate deposits with substantial long-range order, but growth using unpolarized illumination resulted in an ordered, nanoscale, mesh-type morphology. Linearly polarized illumination generated Se-Pb deposits that displayed an ordered, highly anisotropic lamellar pattern wherein the long axes of the lamellae were aligned parallel to the light polarization vector.
