Background: Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) stands as the predominant type of brainstem glioma. It is characterized by a notably brief median survival period, with the majority of patients experiencing disease progression within six months following radiation therapy. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to assess the efficacy and safety of hypofractionated radiotherapy (HFRT) compared to conventionally fractionated radiotherapy (CFRT) in DIPG treatment.

Ph+ALL relapsed 3 months after the first BMT, and the patient underwent a second BMT. However, Ph+ALL relapsed 4 months after the second BMT, and he received a haploidentical peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (haplo-PBSCT) from his father.

Methods And Materials: Eligible studies were retrieved from MEDLINE, Embase, Scielo, the Cochrane Library, and annual meeting proceedings through July 6, 2023.
Background: In 2012, the Brazilian government launched a radiotherapy (RT) expansion plan (PER-SUS) to install 100 linear accelerators. This study assesses the development of this program after eight years.
Methods: Official reports from the Ministry of Health (MoH) were reviewed.
This prospective phase I trial aimed to determine the recommended dose of 3-day total marrow and lymphoid irradiation (TMLI) for a myeloablative conditioning regimen by increasing the dose per fraction. The primary end-point of this single-institution dose escalation study was the recommended TMLI dose based on the frequency of dose-limiting toxicity (DLT) ≤100 days posthematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT); a 3 + 3 design was used to evaluate the safety of TMLI. Three dose levels of TMLI (14/16/18 Gy in six fractions over 3 days) were set.

Methods: A national-level study was performed to evaluate the RT utilization for prostate, breast, head & neck (HN), Gynecology (GYN), Gastrointestinal (GI), lung cancers, and bone/brain metastases.
The impact of the killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR)-ligand mismatch between donor and recipient in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is controversial. Recently, it has been suggested that their effect on cord blood transplantation (CBT) differs among types of mismatched KIR-ligand and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis. To investigate their role in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), mismatch of KIR2DL1, KIR3DL1, and KIR3DL2-ligand (HLA-C2, Bw4, and A3/11) were retrospectively assessed in patients undergoing CBT with GVHD prophylaxis comprising a calcineurin inhibitor plus methotrexate (CNI/MTX) or mycophenolate mofetil (CNI/MMF).

Methods: A double-blinded, controlled, randomized, phase II clinical trial developed with women diagnosed with breast cancer who will receive radiation therapy.
Therapy-related myelodysplastic syndromes (t-MDS) are generally progressive and associated with poorer outcomes than de novo MDS (d-MDS). To evaluate the outcome of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) for t-MDS, we conducted a propensity score matched-pair analysis of patients with t-MDS and d-MDS using a nationwide database. A total of 178 patients with t-MDS underwent allo-HSCT between 2001 and 2018, and 178 out of 3123 patients with d-MDS were selected.

Here we assess the effectiveness and safety of SABR for oligometastatic breast cancer patients by performing a meta-analysis.
Methods: Following PRISMA and MOOSE guidelines, a systematic review and meta-analysis was performed.
Objectives: To assess the patterns of failure and prognostic factors in Brazilian patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) treated with radiotherapy (RT) and concurrent and adjuvant temozolomide (TMZ).
Methods: Patients with diagnosed GBM post-resection received postoperative RT. TMZ was administered concurrently at 75 mg/m2/day for 28 consecutive days and adjuvant therapy at 150-200 mg/m2/day for 5 days every 28 days.
The aim of this study was to evaluate whether there is a relationship between bleeding response and radiotherapy dose to palliate patients with local recurrence or progression of gastric cancer (GC). To this end, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies that evaluated the bleeding response in patients with GC with local recurrence or progression. A meta-regression analysis between biological effective dose (BED) and bleeding response was performed, as was subgroup analysis to evaluate the outcome by BED level and radiotherapy (RT) technique.

Materials And Methods: Eligible studies were identified on Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library, and the proceedings of annual meetings through May 2019 were also identified. A meta-regression analysis was performed to assess whether there is a relationship between BED and LC.
Purpose: To compare the treatment outcomes of a cohort of prostate cancer patients treated with conventional schedule using IMRT or 3DRT technique.
Materials And Methods: Between 2010-2017, 485 men with localized prostate cancer were treated with conventional radiotherapy schedule with a total dose ≥74Gy using IMRT (231) or 3DCRT (254). Late gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) toxicity were retrospectively evaluated according to modifi ed RTOG criteria.
Objective: To build a model to evaluate the impact of salvage radiotherapy (SRT) in men with PSA rise or persistent PSA after undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP).
Materials And Methods: The study included 107 node-negative patients treated with SRT after RP at a single institution. Patients received SRT for either prostate-specific antigen (PSA) rising, or PSA persistence after RP.
To visualize oxytocin in the hypothalamo-neurohypophysial system, we generated a transgenic rat that expresses the oxytocin-monomeric red fluorescent protein 1 (mRFP1) fusion gene. In the present study, we examined the age-related changes of oxytocin-mRFP1 fluorescent intensity in the posterior pituitary (PP), the supraoptic nucleus (SON) and the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of transgenic rats. The mRFP1 fluorescent intensities were significantly increased in the PP, the SON and the PVN of 12-, 18- and 24-month-old transgenic rats in comparison with 3-month-old transgenic rats.

A copolymer of nitrobenzospiropyran and methyl methacrylate, poly(NSP-co-MMA) was used as a material with a photosensitive surface. UV irradiation of the photosensitive surface of poly(NSP-co-MMA)-coated glass plates decreased the water contact angles (11 +/- 1 degrees ) and increased diameter of a water drop relative to the unexposed surface.
