Elevated total and direct bilirubin are associated with acute complicated appendicitis: a single-center based study in Saudi Arabia.

Background: Appendicitis is the most common abdominal surgical emergency and up to our knowledge no previous studies have been conducted in Saudi Arabia particularly at Qassim region and this study aimed to determine a total and direct bilirubin as a predictor of acute complicated appendicitis.

Methods: Observational retrospective study that included patients admitted under the general surgery department with a diagnosis of acute appendicitis at King Saud Hospital, Unaizah, Saudi Arabia. Data on age, gender, BMI, diabetes mellitus, total and direct bilirubin, AST, ALT, sodium, and WBCs levels were obtained.

Tubular adenomas of the breast are rare benign epithelial neoplasms and not many cases have been reported. Predominantly, the tumor is described as a palpable, well-circumscribed mass. Most often confused with fibroadenomas clinically and radiologically.

Clinical, Radiological and Pathological Appraisal of Acute Appendicitis in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia: A Single-Center Retrospective Analysis.

Background Acute appendicitis can occur at any age but is rare among people of extreme age; it is more common in teenagers and young adults. Traditionally diagnosis is made on clinical grounds. In recent times imaging techniques have been deployed to improve diagnosis and reduce negative appendicectomy rates.

Saudi pharmacy students' perceived knowledge and attitude on their role in public health services.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the preparedness of pharmacy students to actively participate in public health services by examining their attitude towards and knowledge about the national public health programmes (NPHPs).

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using an online questionnaire survey of the students in Unaizah College of Pharmacy (UCP) and College of Pharmacy Main Campus (CPMC), Qassim University, between October 2019 and February 2020.

Key Findings: A total of 100 out of 125 students responded to the questionnaire at a response rate of 80%.
