Purpose: This phase I study aimed to assess the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of the PIKA-adjuvanted recombinant severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike (S) protein subunit vaccine in healthy adults aged 18 years and older.
Materials And Methods: This is a phase I, open-label, dose-escalation study at three dose levels (5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg) of the PIKA coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine administered intramuscularly. The three vaccine arms are (A) subjects who have never received any COVID-19 vaccination or have had COVID-19 infection for >6 months prior to enrolment; (B1) subjects whose COVID-19 primary vaccination series was completed with an inactivated COVID-19 vaccine; and (B2) subjects whose primary series was completed with messenger RNA COVID-19 vaccine.

Methods: This is a national observational cross-sectional multicenter study that will include patients older than 18 years with HTN for a duration of 4 weeks, managed in the public sector from primary and secondary care centers as well as patients managed in the private sector.

Purpose: Recent data have been published supporting the application of ultrashort radiation therapy (RT) regimens for women with early stage breast cancer after breast conserving surgery. What has remained controversial is whether and how to apply accelerated whole breast irradiation (AWBI) or accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) approaches in these patients, as well as the consideration of intraoperative RT (IORT).
Methods And Materials: We performed a systematic review of the literature searching for randomized and prospective data published evaluating ultrashort RT delivered in 5 days or less with APBI, AWBI, or IORT.
Purpose/objective(s): To determine if patients with unfavorable intermediate-risk (UIR), high-risk (HR), or very high-risk (VHR) prostate cancer (PCa) treated with I interstitial brachytherapy benefit from androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).
Materials/methods: We reviewed our institutional database of patients with UIR, HR, or VHR PCa, per 2018 NCCN risk classification, treated with definitive I interstitial brachytherapy with or without ADT from 1998-2017. Outcomes including biochemical failure (bF), distant metastases (DM), and overall survival (OS) were analyzed with the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards regression.
