Bleeding, the most frightening adverse effect of anticoagulants,may occur in different parts of the body.When intracerebral hemorrhage in individuals used anticoagulant drugs is compared with normal coagulation function, the volume of bleeding is increased and the prognosis is worse. There are few studies in the literature regarding the presence of intracerebral hemorrhage and the volume and prognosis of bleeding associated with rivaroxaban, a new oral anticoagulant.

Retropharyngeal hematoma secondary to whiplash injury in childhood: a case report.

Whiplash Associated Disorders (WAD) has been reported as an adult phenomenon. Whiplash injury has classically been described as a cervical soft tissue hyperextension- flexion injury after a trauma such as a rear end impact car crash, contact sport injuries, blows to the head from a falling object or a punch and shaken baby syndrome and is mostly seen in adults . It is important as it may cause severe disability due to spinal cord injury, decrease work productivity and even retropharyngeal hematoma resulting airway obstruction and mortality due to bleeding amongst deep cervical fascias.

Aplasia cutis congenita associated with multiple congenital anomalies: case report.

Introduction: Aplasia cutis congenita (ACC), is a rare anomaly presenting with a solitary scalp lesion of skin abrasion. Lesions can be multiple and on different surfaces of the body but are mostly seen on the scalp (%70) as a solitary lesion. As it is a rare disease, we aimed to describe our case with ACC.

The role of fibroblast growth factor-2 in healing the dura mater after inducing cerebrospinal fluid leakage in rats.

We conducted a study to determine the effectiveness of topically applied recombinant mouse fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) in healing the dura mater in a rat with dura mater injury and cerebrospinal fluid leakage. Laminectomies were performed in 32 rats at the level of the L2-L4 vertebrae, and a dura mater defect was created. Sixteen rats were treated postoperatively with locally applied recombinant mouse FGF-2, and 16 animals received normal saline.
