Background: We aimed to investigate whether non-alcoholic fatty pancreas disease (NAFPD) is associated with epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), which is a kind of ectopic fat accumulation, and aortic intima-media thickness (aIMT), which is associated with subclinical atherosclerosis.

Methods: Fifty-four patients with NAFPD (22 men; mean age: 52 ± 10 years) and 49 without NAFPD (16 men; mean age: 49 ± 8 years) were included in this study. NAFPD and aIMT were evaluated using transabdominal ultrasonography (TUS).

Purpose: Obturator nerve block (ONB) has been performed in surgeries of transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TUR-BT) for the prevention of the development of obturator muscle contraction. Currently, classic and inguinal approaches are frequently being used. In the present study, we aimed to compare the success rate, performance speed, and complication risks of both approaches.

Objective: Rocuronium is a non-depolarising, intermediate-acting, monoquaternary amino steroid and was brought into clinical use as a potentially ideal muscle relaxant. Post-operative residual curarisation (PORC) results from the prolonged effects of non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking agents. This is a common problem and seriously affects patient safety.

Objectives: The present report describes patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction who had at least two lesions in the culprit vessel (CV) during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Here, we aimed to examine two different strategies, namely, PCI of only culprit lesion (CL) versus PCI of all lesions in the CV in the setting of acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction.

Patients And Methods: Patients who underwent primary PCI were examined for the presence of an additional lesion in the infarct-related artery and divided into two groups according to the PCI strategy: CV versus CL groups.

Traumatic pulmonary pseudocysts (TPP) are cavitary lesions that are rarely seen after blunt thoracic traumas. Two male patients who were diagnosed with cystic lesions in the left lung after trauma were followed in our clinic with the diagnosis of TPP. Due to increase in cyst dimensions and wall tension, which were seen on the follow-up thorax tomography, surgical intervention was decided for both cases.
