Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a biologically heterogeneous disease originating from the clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cell progenitors (HSC-Prog), along with a block in differentiation, are hallmark features of AML.
