The Huanglian-Hongqu herb pair (HH) is a carefully crafted traditional Chinese herbal compound designed to address disorders related to glucose and lipid metabolism. Its primary application lies in treating hyperlipidemia and fatty liver conditions. This study explored the potential mechanism of HH in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) through network pharmacology, molecular docking, and in vivo animal experiments.

The mouse model of atherosclerosis was induced by a high-fat diet, and the total modeling period was 12 weeks. A total of 47 ApoE~(-/-) mice successfully modeled were randomized into 5 groups, including 10 in the model group, 9 in each of low-, medium-, and high-dose(130.

Background: Real-time monitoring is essential for the management of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients. Utilizing peripheral blood is advantageous due to its affordability and convenience. Existing methods of assessing peripheral blood films have limitations that include lack of automation, dependence on personal experience, and low repeatability and reproducibility.

Methods: 163 patients with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) reactivation undergoing allo-HSCT in Jiangsu Province hospital from Jan 2013 to Dec 2020 were analyzed retrospectively.
Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) have been widely applied in multiple tumours, but the expected efficacy was not observed in DLBCL. Therefore, this study is aimed to explore superior HDACis and optimise a relative combinational therapeutic strategy.

A total of 343 STAD cases from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) were assigned into high- or low-score groups applying Estimation of STromal and Immune cells in MAlignant Tumor tissues using Expression data (ESTIMATE). Hub genes were identified from differentially expressed genes (DEGs) shared by stromal- and immune-related components in the TME of STAD patients using R software.

Sixty-two patients were retrospectively analyzed and 47 harbored at least one gene mutation with a next-generation-sequencing assay. The most common molecular mutation was mutation (30.

Methods: Clinical data of 198 cases of NDMM was collected. cIg-FISH and a specific probe (TP53) were used to detect karyotypic abnormalities in bone marrow samples derived from the patients.
Background: Chronic gastritis (CG), as the highest incidence of gastrointestinal diseases, has been gradually increasing around globally. With the obvious disadvantages of standard treatment, more and more people ask the traditional Chinese medicine for help in the treatment of CG. As a traditional Chinese medicine compound, Zuojin Pill (ZJP) has a long history of clinical application in the treatment of digestive system diseases.

The risk status was evaluated by determining the frequency of recurring gene mutations using next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis of 23 selected genes and cytogenetic profiling of bone marrow samples at diagnosis. After a median follow-up of 12 months (range: 2-82 months), 86 patients (68.

Methods: To explore the HKMT effect of another regulatory protein within the complex of proteins associated with Set 1 (COMPASS), we analyzed the H3K4me3 modification of the HOXC8 promoter under the action of ASH2L regulation. Small interfering RNA of ASH2L, chromatin immunoprecipitation, real-time-PCR (RT-PCR), and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of specific regions of the HOXC8 promoter, RBBP5, WDR5, MLL, and BRTF in two MLL-rearranged acute leukemia cell lines (RS4:11 and THP-1 cells).

Objective: To analyze the clinical and laboratory features of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with cuplike nuclei morphology.
Methods: One hundred and seventy patients diagnosed with AML (M1andM2) between December 2009 and December 2016 were included in the study. Bone marrow smears were prepared for morphologic alanalysis, the immunophenotype was analyzed by flow cytometry and the RHG-banding was for conventional cytogenetic assay (CCA) ,gene mutation was detected by sequencing.
Previous studies showed that, in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients with isolated 13q deletion (13q-), those carrying higher percentage of leukemic cells with 13q- had more aggressive diseases. However, the prognostic value of the percentage of leukemic cells with 13q- in Chinese CLL patients with isolated 13q- remained to be determined. Using interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), we identified 82 patients (25.

Objective: To illustrate the association of MDR1 (Multidrug Resistance 1) polymorphisms at loci 1236, 2677, 3435 and the prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM) in Jiangsu population.
Methods: A total of 129 MM patients were recruited from Jiangsu Province, China. The DNA was extracted from white blood cells (WBC) of peripheral blood and was amplified by polymerase chain reaction-allele specific primers (PCR-ASP).
The chromosomal abnormality t(14;18)(q32;q21) is most commonly associated with germinal center-derived B-cell lymphomas, particularly follicular lymphoma (FL). Generally, it is considered a hallmark of FL. The t(14;18)(q32;q21) translocation is rare in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and its prognostic significance remains unclear.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFExpression of ζ-chain-associated protein kinase 70 kDa (ZAP-70) in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is associated with more aggressive disease and can help differentiate CLL from cases expressing mutated or unmutated immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region (IgHV) genes. However, standardizing ZAP-70 expression by flow cytometric analysis has proved unsatisfactory. The key point is that ZAP-70 is weakly expressed with a continuous expression pattern rather than a clear discrimination between positive and negative CLL cells, which means that the resulting judgment is subjective.
