In this work, an integrated system combining non-thermal plasma (NTP) and FeMn catalysts was developed for ethylene oxide (EO) oxidation. The effect of Fe/Mn molar ratio on the oxidation rate of EO and energy yield of the plasma-catalytic process has been investigated as a function of specific energy density (SED). Compared with the case of using plasma alone, the combination of plasma and FeMn catalysts greatly enhanced the reaction performance by the factor of 25.

To determine the prevalence of serovars among food handlers working in the catering industry in Nantong, China, a total of 214,542 food handlers' fecal samples were tested for in the Nantong CDC (Centers for Disease Control) from 2012 to 2017.

The results showed that the 12 pathogenic strains were of the O:3 serotype. Six strains were isolated from domestic dogs (Canis familiaris) belonging to farmers and were found to be the primary carriers of pathogenic Y.

An outbreak of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) occurred among students in Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2006. We conducted a study to characterize etiologic agents of the outbreaks and clarify the origin of hantaviruses causing infections in humans and laboratory animals. Immunoglobulin (Ig) M or IgG antibodies against Seoul virus (SEOV) were detected in the serum samples of all 8 patients.
