Backgroud: Lymphovascular invasion (LVI) was histological factor that was closely related to prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma (LAC).The primary aim was to investigate the value of a nomogram incorporating clinical and computed tomography (CT) factors to predict LVI in LAC, and validating the predictive efficacy of a clinical model for LVI in patients with lung adenocarcinoma with lesions ≤ 3 cm.
Methods: A total of 450 patients with LAC were retrospectively enrolled.
Research has started using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to elucidate the action of acupuncture on neuroplasticity following ischemic stroke (IS). Acupuncture is thought to be a potentially beneficial treatment for IS. However, the results remain inconsistent because of MRI processing techniques and study design variations.

Here, we discover that dietary protein, rather than carbohydrates or fat, is the primary nutritional risk factor for MASLD in humans. Consistently, ex vivo tracing studies identify amino acids as a major carbon supplier for the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and lipogenesis in isolated mouse hepatocytes.

Methods: Sixty 8-week-old female mice were used, which underwent APOE and ovariectomy procedures, followed by oral administration of Actein (15 mg/kg) and Atorvastatin Calcium (AC, 3 mg/kg) for eight weeks. Body weight, uterine weight, and systemic indexes related to bone metabolism and lipid metabolism were assessed in each group.

This study aimed to explore an unexpected function for the eukaryotic initiation factor-2α (eIF2α) during aging. Reducing the eIF2α dose led to a reconfiguration of the metabolic equilibrium, promoting catabolism, facilitating lipolysis, and decreasing body fat accumulation while maintaining healthy glucose and lipid metabolism during aging.

The hippocampus is a key region often reporting connectivity abnormalities in memory disorders. Here, we investigated peripheral inflammatory responses and resting-state functional connectivity (RSFC) changes characterized of hippocampal subregions in type 2 diabetes-associated cognitive decline (T2DACD).

Con and Mod did not receive any special treatment, only as a control observation.

However, the understanding of the mechanism of acupuncture effects is still limited due to the lack of systematic biological validation. Notably, proteomics technologies in the field of acupuncture are rapidly evolving, and these advances are greatly contributing to the research of acupuncture.

The integrated system utilized dual laser sources at the wavelengths of 488 nm and 650 nm and three photomultiplier channels for multi-color fluorescence detection. The emission spectra of fluorescent substances were tracked using the time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy module to continuously monitor their blood kinetics.

Methods: Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR) metabolomics combined with multivariate statistical analysis and univariate analysis were used to analyze the changes of endogenous metabolites in the liver of mice in each group and to provide new clinical ideas for acupuncture in the treatment of glycolipid metabolism disorders caused by T2DM and NAFLD.
Results: After 4 weeks of continuous treatment, fasting blood glucose (FBG), insulin (INS), total cholesterol (TC), and triglyceride (TG) decreased significantly in mice in the acupuncture treatment group (ATG), and the content of liver glycogen increased significantly.
Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a prevalent degenerative disease and often recognized as the primary cause of lower back pain (LBP). Aucubin (Au) is a natural compound with anti-inflammatory properties in various diseases. The present study aimed to confirm the therapeutic effect of Au on IDD and explore its potential mechanism in vivo and in vitro.

Hydrochar was prepared through low-temperature hydrothermal reactions and applied to aerobic fermentation. The response relationship between lignocellulose content, electron transfer capability, and microbes was explored.

Methods: A total of 140 patients with complicated kidney stones requiring PCNL were prospectively enrolled, from January 2020 to December 2022. These patients were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 70 patients each in the research group and the control group.
Purpose: To examine the optimal timing of second ovarian stimulation using the dual stimulation method for good ovarian responders with cancer undergoing oocyte retrieval for fertility preservation.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted using data from 69 patients with cancer who underwent oocyte retrieval for fertility preservation at four Japanese institutions during 2010-2021. Twenty-two patients underwent two oocyte retrievals for fertility preservation.

Herein we aimed to reveal a novel function of IL-11 through STAT3 signaling in regulating tumor immune evasion.
Methods: AOM/DSS model in Il11 and Apc/Il11 mice were used to detect tumor growth and CD8 T infiltration.
Introduction: Research on acupuncture for Parkinson's Disease is growing rapidly. A scoping review examines emerging evidence and is important to guide policy and practice.
