The application of membrane bioreactor (MBR) in high salinity wastewater treatment was mainly hindered by membrane fouling. Microbial fuel cell (MFC)-MBR coupling system was established to alleviate membrane fouling and save energy. Reduced graphene oxide/polypyrrole ceramic membrane (rGO/PPy CM) with high conductivity and stability was innovatively placed in MFC-MBRs as both cathode and filter, with PPy CM, rGO/PPy CM and CM placed in other reactors.

Though numerous researches have investigated the membrane fouling of MBR combined with bio-carriers, few studies reveal the impacts of bio-carriers on the characteristics of cake layer and the mechanism of bio-carriers alleviating membrane fouling. In this study, two systems, namely carriers-enhanced MBR (R1) and conventional MBR (R2) were parallel operated, drawing a conclusion that bio-carriers effectively improved the characteristics of cake layer, thus mitigating membrane fouling.

In this study, 29 commercial fish species (n = 584) with different feeding habits and trophic levels were collected from 8 sites along the Bohai Sea for MP uptake analysis. Approximately 85.

A diet-incorporation-based bioassay was conducted to evaluate the sublethal effects of the novel anthranilic diamide chlorantraniliprole on the nutritional physiology, enzymatic properties and population parameters of this cutworm. Chlorantraniliprole exhibited signs of active toxicity against third instar larvae of A.

An assessment of the toxicity of pesticides to predators is a necessary component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies. In order to evaluate the risks of field insecticide application, we studied the influence of chlorantraniliprole on C.
