Torsion of distal right hydrosalpinx in a primiparous woman at term: A case report.

Introduction And Importance: Adnexal torsion is a significant cause of acute pelvic pain and a common gynaecological emergency. While ovarian cysts are well-recognized predisposing factors, hydrosalpinx is a less common precursor. This case report presents a unique instance of isolated fallopian tube torsion accompanied by hydrosalpinx.

Challenging diagnoses in a case report: Ovarian fibrothecoma with elevated CA125 levels mimicking malignancy.

Introduction And Importance: Ovarian fibromas are benign tumours arising from the connective tissue of the ovarian cortex, classified into three pathological subtypes: fibroma, thecoma, and fibrothecoma. Their diagnosis is complicated by their solid nature and potential association with ascites and pleural effusion, resembling Meigs syndrome. Elevated serum CA125 levels can further complicate differentiation from malignant ovarian epithelial tumours.

[Retrospective study of 60 cases of uterine rupture at the Maternity Center of Monastir, Tunisia].

Uterine rupture is a life-threatening obstetric complication. The purpose of this study was to investigate the epidemiological features, maternal and foetal prognosis and different treatment options for uterine rupture in healthy and scarred uteri. We conducted a retrospective monocentric descriptive and analytical study of 60 cases of uterine rupture collected in the Department of Gynaecology-Obstetrics of the Center of Maternity and Neonatology, Monastir, from 2017 to 2021.

Introduction: The implication of arginase enzyme in Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections has not been clearly elucidated. The present study investigates whether HPV infection is correlated with changes in plasmatic arginase activity and cervical ARG1 and ARG2 mRNA expression among infected women negative for intraepithelial lesions (NIL).

Purpose: This study aimed to implement lupus anticoagulant (LAC) detection techniques according to the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) recommendations, in the Biological Laboratory of the Maternity and Neonatal Medicine Center (Monastir, Tunisia) and to evaluate the profile and the prevalence of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) in the obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome (OAPS).

Methods: We collected two groups: a "case group" (53 women who presented one or more obstetrical criteria of APS) and a "control group." LAC was detected following the four steps recommended by ISTH 2009.

Erysipelas on surgical scar: a case report.

Erysipelas is a non-necrotizing acute dermal hypodermatitis most often of streptococcal origin. It most often affects the lower limbs. Erysipelas on surgical scar has been rarely reported in the literature.
