Background: The intervention value of a drug-psycho-social-skill model on medication compliance and cognitive ability in patients with chronic schizophrenia was unknown.
Aim: To explore the intervention value of a drug-psycho-social-skill model on medication compliance and cognitive ability in patients with chronic schizophrenia.
Methods: Overall, 98 out-patients and in-patients with chronic schizophrenia treated in our hospital from February 2022 to January 2023 were included and randomly divided into the study (50 patients) and control groups (48 patients).
Background: Ciprofloxacin is a widely used antibiotic in medicine and agriculture. It can cause pollution to the environment and food, thereby affecting human health.
Objective: This study proposes the preparation of molecular imprinted fluorescent sensors and their selective detection of ciprofloxacin, with the aim of achieving specific recognition and accurate detection of ciprofloxacin.
Anxiety disorders, common yet impactful emotional disturbances, significantly affect physical and mental health globally. Many neuron circuits are associated with anxiety regulation like septo-hippocampal loop, amygdala(AMYG), bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BNST), ventral hippocampus (vHPC), and brain regions like medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC). However, the concrete mechanism of anxiety disorder in BNST is relatively unknown.

Background: Many critically ill patients in neurology departments require the placement of nasoenteric tubes to provide enteral nutrition. However, in clinical practice, there exists considerable variability in nurses' competencies regarding the management of patients with nasoenteric tubes.
Improper treatment of livestock and poultry wastewater (LPWW) rich in ammonium nitrogen (NH-N) and antibiotics leads to eutrophication, and contributes to the risk of creating drug-resistant pathogens. The design-build-test-learn strategy was used to engineer a continuous process using Chlorella vulgaris to remove NH-N and antibiotics. The optimized system removed NH-N at a rate of 306 mg/L/d, degraded 99 % of lincomycin, and reduced the hydraulic retention time to 4 days.

In order to explore the effect of maternal exposure to CBNPs on offspring's lung and latent pathogenesis, we respectively established in vivo model of pregnant rats exposed to CBNPs and ex vivo model of lung epithelial cells treated with pups' serum of pregnant rats exposed to CBNPs. After maternal exposure to CBNPs, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and fibrosis levels increased as a result of DDRGK1-mediated reticulophagy upregulated in offspring's lung.

Interestingly, Zn served as a central ion to coordinate with multidentate ligands 2,4,6-tris(4-carboxyphenyl)-1,3,5-triazine (TATB) at room temperature to form Zn-TATB-MOGs with excellent ECL intensity. More importantly, compared to metal ions (e.

This study conducted an in-situ investigation in Xiangshan Harbor, China, to explore the patterns of P release in response to DOC inputs. To further elucidate the underlying mechanisms behind the DOC-affected sediment P release, a two-month mesocosm experiment was undertaken with coastal sediment (Xiangshan Harbor) to which acetate, glucose, and humic acid (representing the fermentation product, the simple available carbon, and the refractory humic-like carbon sources, respectively) were separately added to the overlying water at dosages of 0, 5, 10, and 20 mg C L.

These wetlands are already experiencing severe ecological and environmental issues, such as drought, retrogressive succession, and desertification. However, due to the limitations of computational models, previous studies have been unable to adequately understand the spatiotemporal change trends of these alpine wetlands.

Ergosterol peroxide (EP) is a steroidal compound isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Ganoderma lucidum. However, EP is limited by its solubility and moderate potency in antitumor studies. In the present study, a series of novel ergosterol peroxide-3-thiazolidinedione derivatives were designed and synthesized, by changing the linker between ergosterol peroxide and thiazolidinedione, it is expected to obtain compounds with better antitumor activity.

As most maternal deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), we aimed to assess the impact of scaling up health intervention coverage on reducing MMR under four scenarios for 26 LMICs.
Methods: We conducted a modelling study to estimate the MMR and additional maternal lives saved by intervention by 2030 for 26 LMICs using the Lives Saved Tool (LiST).
Background: Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CIRI), a common, universal clinical problem that costs a large proportion of the economic and disease burden. Identifying the key regulators of cerebral I/R injury could provide potential strategies for clinically improving the prognosis of stroke. Ring finger protein 13 (RNF13) has been proven to be involved in the inflammatory response.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the independent effects of periconceptional FAS on risks of small for gestational age (SGA) and large for gestational age (LGA) and to test the potential mediation role of maternal homocysteine (Hcy) during pregnancy on the above significant associations.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most complicated chronic inflammatory diseases in women of reproductive age and is one of the primary factors responsible for infertility. There is substantial dispute relating to the pathophysiology of PCOS. Consequently, there is a critical need for further research to identify the factors underlying the pathophysiology of PCOS.

Lupeol is a natural pentacyclic triterpenoid with a wide range of biological activities. To improve the water solubility and targeting of lupeol, in the following study, we synthesized 27 lupeol derivatives in the first series by introducing lipophilic cations with lupeol as the lead compound. Through the screening of different cancer cells, we found that some of the derivatives showed better activity than cisplatin against human non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells, among which compound 6c was found to have an IC value of 1.

However, its poor water solubility and cellular uptake mean that it has weak efficacy against tumor cells. Herein, we designed and synthesized a series of EP derivatives with mitochondrial targeting properties.
