This study investigates the impact of digital economy development on urban export sophistication and its mechanisms. We use the chain mediation effect model to analyze the panel data of 281 cities in China from 2011 to 2017. The results show that the digital economy has a significant and positive impact on urban ES.

Methods: We collected and evaluated case records of 165 patients with phytobezoars from 2014 to 2023. And we analyzed demographic and clinical characteristics, imaging features, endoscopic features, complications of phytobezoars, and compared efficacy between endoscopic lithotripsy combined with drug lithotripsy (Group A) and drug lithotripsy (sodium bicarbonate combined with proton pump inhibitor) (Group B).
Objective: We aimed to explore the prognostic value of DNA methylation in breast cancer.
Methods: Breast cancer patients with and without recurrence or metastasis and matched non-breast cancer patients were screened retrospectively from 2014 to 2016. Bisulfite conversion and fluorescence quantitative methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction were used to detect the methylation status and distribution levels in patient breast tissues.
Background: The pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) has been reported as a promising prognostic biomarker in multiple cancers but still remains inconclusive. The objective of this study is to systematically investigate the association of the pretreatment PIV with survival outcomes in cancer patients, based on available literature.
Methods: Online databases including PubMed, Embase and the Web of Science were thoroughly searched for studies evaluating the prognostic role of the pretreatment PIV in cancers from the inception to June 2023.
We performed a meta-analysis to investigate the association of the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) with long-term survival outcomes in patients with gastrointestinal malignancy. PubMed, Web of Science and Embase were searched for relevant studies evaluating the prognostic significance of the SIRI in gastrointestinal malignancies until May 2023. 30 studies with 10,091 patients were included.

Activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are the principal effectors that promote the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins during hepatic fibrosis. Aberrant microRNA-29 expression is involved in the development of fibrotic diseases.

This study aimed to identify the relationship between miR-29a-3p and inflammation-related pyroptosis in DIALF and confirm its underlying mechanisms.
Methods: Thioacetamide (TAA)- and acetaminophen (APAP)-induced ALF mouse models were established, and human samples were collected.

Using panel data from 30 provinces and cities in China over the period 2013-2019, we intend to explore the mechanism and regional heterogeneity of the influence of digital economy development on carbon emissions. Specifically, this relationship is analyzed by including the geographical variable coefficient model into the chain mediation effect model, taking spatial correlation and heterogeneity into account. The results indicate that the digital economy decreases carbon emissions by enhancing energy intensity, but raises carbon emissions by fostering economic expansion, making digital economy a net contribution to carbon emissions.

The relationship between employee mental health and job performance has been one of the key concerns in workplace. However, extant studies suffer from incomplete results due to their focus on developed economies' contexts and the unclear path of employee mental health's impact on performance. In this paper, we investigate the mechanism of employee mental health influencing job performance.

Digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces technology and big data, enable many firms to innovate their business model. It is clearly an emotional process due to its complex and uncertain nature, and involves individuals' emotion regulation, yet the current research lacks an effective conversion path from emotion to digital business model innovation (BMI). Drawing on theories and research on emotion regulation and business model innovation, we investigate how emotion regulation of entrepreneurs (i.

Methods: A total of 594 COVID-19 survivors discharged from Tongji Hospital in Wuhan from February 10 to April 30, 2020 were included and followed up until May 17, 2021.
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a serious and even lethal respiratory illness. The mortality of critically ill patients with COVID-19, especially short term mortality, is considerable. It is crucial and urgent to develop risk models that can predict the mortality risks of patients with COVID-19 at an early stage, which is helpful to guide clinicians in making appropriate decisions and optimizing the allocation of hospital resoureces.

The pathogenesis of MS remains unknown, however, a dysregulation of glia-neuroimmune signaling plays a key role during progressive disease stage. Most of the existing drugs are aimed at the immune system, but there is no approved drug by promoting remyelination after demyelination so far.

Methods: A fraction of 657 COVID-19 patients were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Long non-coding RNAs have suppressive or oncogenic effects in various types of cancers by serving as competing endogenous RNAs for specific microRNAs. In the present study, we aim to delineate the underlying mechanism by which the LINC00473/miR-29a-3p/Robo1 axis affects cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Methods: The level of Robo1 was examined in HCC tissues and cells, along with its regulatory effects on proliferation, migration, and invasion of HCC cells.
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a newly emerging infectious disease and rapidly escalating epidemic caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The pathogenesis of COVID-19 remains to be elucidated. We aimed to clarify correlation of systemic inflammation with disease severity and outcomes in COVID-19 patients.

Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis is a benign chronic inflammatory breast disease and a confused treatment plan may result in worsening of the disease, unacceptable cosmetic damage for the patient and even mastectomy. We report a case of a 39-year-old Chinese woman with a two-month history of painful, solid, diabrotic, left breast lesions that measured 10 × 15 cm. Misdiagnosis had led to delayed wound healing with extensive ulcerative skin lesions.
