To improve water splitting efficiency and enhance energy utilization, it is crucial to develop catalysts with excellent activity, long-term stability, and low cost. In this study, we synthesized a three-dimensional nanostructured amorphous CoMoP/NF bifunctional catalyst for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural oxidation reaction (HMFOR), using a sacrificial template method. Gelation and gel properties are crucial to surimi-based seafood products, and many factors significantly influence surimi gel quality. Two dwarf bunt resistance QTLs were mapped to chromosome 6D, and KASP markers associated with the loci were developed and validated in a panel of regionally adapted winter wheats. UI Silver is an invaluable adapted resistant cultivar possessing the two identified QTL potentially associated with genes Bt9 and Bt10 and will be useful in future cultivar development to improve dwarf bunt resistance. Dwarf bunt, caused by Tilletia controversa, is a fungal disease of wheat that can cause complete loss of grain yield and quality during epidemics.

Vanillic Acid (VA) is an aromatic acid extracted from traditional Chinese medicine such as Angelica sinensis and Panax ginseng, which has demonstrated potent anti-cancer activity, inhibiting the onset and progression of various malignant tumors. This review highlights the principal mechanism by which VA exerts its anticancer activity, including apoptosis induction, specifically promoting the generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), which in turn triggers mitochondrial apoptosis. Furthermore, VA disrupts the cancer cell cycle, arresting most cancer cells at the G1 phase, curtails cell migration, invasion, angiogenesis, and potentiates the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs, all while minimizing adverse reactions.

Structural indicators, also known as structural descriptors, including order parameters, have been proposed to quantify the structural properties of water to account for its anomalous behaviors. A fluorescence quenching mechanism using linear diselenides was proposed for the first time through a combination of intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). Herein, we synthesized and screened a two-photon fluorescent probe AFC-SeSe, demonstrating a remarkable 300-fold increase in response to glutathione (GSH).
