Background: Fractures of the long bones in the lower limbs are injuries that cause severe to extremely severe pain, posing risks to the patient's circulation, respiration, and even life. Pain management for patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department is critically important.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of ultrasound-guided femoral and sciatic nerve blocks in patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department (ED).
Introduction And Importance: Primary malignant pericardial mesothelioma is an extremely rare disease with a poor prognosis. Currently, there are no specific guidelines for diagnosis and treatment in Vietnam and international countries for this disease, so treatment experiences from previous clinical cases are very important in the management of this disease.
Case Presentation: The research team reports a clinical case diagnosed and treated with a combination of surgery and chemotherapy using the Pemetrexed + Carboplatin regimen at the Oncology Center.
Background: The co-occurrence of substance use disorder and mental disorder, known as dual diagnosis, has a distressingly high prevalence among individuals grappling with either of these conditions. Mood disorders, especially depression, constitute a substantial burden for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) and a significant public health concern in Vietnam. Identifying risk factors for depression in PWID is imperative for the development of targeted interventions.

However, these tests may not be affordable in many situations including in low/middle income countries that in response have developed domestic assays. Given the example of HCV NAT among people who inject drugs in Vietnam, we aimed at evaluating a domestic assay versus an FDA- and CE-approved assay.

The pathology is from the inflammatory reaction and granuloma formation around the eggs, which cause focal neurological deficits. Because of the rarity of this condition, diagnosis may be delayed and confused with other myelopathies such as neoplasms or myelitis.

It has vast potential applications from depth-circuit compressing to device benchmarking and quantum error mitigation. Here we propose a universal compilation algorithm for quantum state tomography in low-depth quantum circuits.

Direct-acting antiviral (DAA) regimens are now widely used to treat chronic HCV infection. Although side effects to treatment are currently rare, the long-term effects such as suspicions of de novo hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) occurrence or HCC recurrence and cardiac defects are still up for debate.

Background: The tuberculosis (TB) epidemic is not homogeneous in the general population but presents high-risk groups. People who inject drugs (PWID) are such a group. However, TB among PWID remains largely undocumented.

Innovative interventions are needed. We aimed to describe and assess the impact of a community-based psychiatric intervention among PWID in Hai Phong, Vietnam.

Materials And Methods: Five patients treated at Military Hospital 103 - Department of Thoracic Disease were diagnosed with PS via CT scan, MS-CT, and DSA, and histopathological data were evaluated retrospectively between January and December 2019.
Results: In all patients, surgery is the preferred option, with two cases of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (one lobectomy and one wedge resection), and three cases of hybrid video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (adhesive inflammation was observed, the bronchus is challenging to reveal, to resect, and tend to bleed when resecting).
Cardiac Output (CO) is a significant hemodynamic index for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Impedance cardiography (ICG) is one of the non-invasive methods widely investigated for its simplicity, cost-effectiveness and ability to measure cardiac output continuously. However, measured ICG signals are contaminated by the respiratory artefact leading to difficulties in determining characteristic points in the signal waveform, thereby lowering the accuracy of measurement results.

Given a large number of slices covering an area of the lung, we have a set of three-dimensional lung data. And then, by combining additionally with breath-hold measurements, we have a dataset of multigroup CT images (called 4DCT image set) that could show the lung motion and deformation over time.

The prevalence and genotype patterns of JCV vary between different geographical regions. This study was done to investigate the prevalence and genotype distribution of JCV in patients with hematological malignancies in Vietnam.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among PWID recruited in the city of Haiphong, Vietnam, by respondent-driven sampling.
Measuring and monitoring hemodynamic parameters has brought many benefits in supporting diagnosis and treatment for cardiovascular patients. There are many advantages to measuring hemodynamic parameters by non-invasive technique based on impedance cardiography (ICG) such as simplicity, real-time and low cost. However, the electrode positions of this method are very difficult to implement in cases where the patient has to use multiple medical devices at the same time, especially for patients on active treatment and resuscitation.

Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of micro-needling therapy in atrophic acne scar treatment.
Method: A prospective, single centred study was implemented in a total of 31 patients suffering from atrophic acne scar grade 2 to 4 of Goodman and Baron scaring grading system was recruited. They were treated by microneedle derma roller every week in 3 months.
Background And Aim: Persistent vomiting is mentioned as a symptom of a large variety of systemic disorders. It is commonly used interchangeably with chronic, recurrent, or intractable vomiting and widely used as a warning sign of severe illness in dengue infection. However, it has been poorly defined in the medical literature.

Using respondent driven and convenience sampling we recruited 603 participants in 2014. All participants used heroin; 24% used non-injected methamphetamine.

In this paper, we propose a method to classify events from Twitter. We firstly find the distinguishing terms between tweets in events and measure their similarities with learning language models such as ConceptNet and a latent Dirichlet allocation method for selectional preferences (LDA-SP), which have been widely studied based on large text corpora within computational linguistic relations.

Various surveillance methods have been developed to estimate the burden and risk of tick-borne diseases and host exposure to tick bites. The ultimate aims of these approaches are to determine the risk level of a tick-borne disease in a given area, determine its health priority, identify the at-risk population and propose specific countermeasures or complementary studies as needed.

The number of children seen annually for otitis media increased over that time. An increase in the event rate of otitis was observed; there was also an increase in the rate of myringotomy with ventilatory tube insertion.
