Geopolymer concrete (GC) is green and environmentally friendly. In order to comprehensively study the mechanical properties and influence mechanism of geopolymer concrete-filled steel tubular (GCFST) columns under various working conditions, this study takes the strength grade of geopolymer concrete, length-diameter ratio and wall thickness of steel tube as design parameters. Background: Although the information on the validation status of electronic sphygmomanometer (ES) devices in use in health care institutions and households is much more clinically relevant than that of ES models available on the market, it remains insufficient.

Methods: A national survey was conducted across all administrative regions of mainland China to assess the validation status of ESs. Fifty-eight cities were selected with stratification by municipality, provincial capital, and other cities, and health care institutions and households in each city were chosen by convenience to identify ES devices in use according to the study protocol.

This study conducts push-out tests on eight geopolymer concrete filled steel tube column specimens with varying design parameters to evaluate the effects of steel tube wall thickness, concrete strength, and the presence of welded longitudinal ribs on the bond-slip performance at the interface between geopolymer concrete and steel tube. The study analyzes the influence mechanism of chemical bonding force, mechanical bite force, and friction resistance on bond strength and a three-stage bond-slip constitutive relationship is established. The results indicate that steel tube strain increases with height, with significant strain observed at the welding structure and the fixed end of the steel tube.

To solve the problem of a large amount of fly ash accumulation and study the axial compression and bearing capacity prediction of the self-compacting fly ash concrete filled circle steel tube (SCCFST) columns, eight specimens are designed to explore the impact of concrete strength grade, internal structural measures, and additional parameters. The stress, progression of deformation, and failure mode of each specimen are observed during the loading process. Methods: The triaxial remolded soil samples with different moisture contents (14%, 16%, 18%, and 20%) were prepared for the obtained Nanyang weak expansive soil. Four groups of 16 consolidated drained triaxial shear tests with a confining pressure of 50, 100, 200, and 300 kPa were carried out to study the effects of confining pressure and water content on the deviatoric stress and pore pressure of weak expansive soil with strain.

Herein, the toughening mechanism and effects of 3-(aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (3-APTES) intercalation in calcium-silicate-hydrate (CSH) structures were investigated through molecular dynamics simulations. CSH established a model using 11 Å-tobermorite to simulate the tensile properties, toughness, adsorption energy, average orientation displacement and radial distribution function of 3-APTES intercalation at different Ca/Si ratios under conditions of a CVFF force field, an NVT system, and 298 K temperature. Simulation results demonstrate that 3-APTES alters the fracture process of CSH and effectively enhances its tensile properties and toughness.

This decade has witnessed the tremendous progress in miniaturizing optical imaging systems. Despite the advancements in 3D printing optical lenses at increasingly smaller dimensions, challenges remain in precisely manufacturing the dimensionally compatible optomechanical components and assembling them into a functional imaging system. To tackle this issue, the use of 3D printing to enable digitalized optomechanical component manufacturing, part-count-reduction design, and the inclusion of passive alignment features is reported here, all for the ease of system assembly.
