Commonly used attribution methods localize image areas important for CNN prediction but do not characterize relevant imaging features underlying these areas, acting as a barrier to the adoption of CNNs for clinical use. We therefore propose Semantic Exploration and Explainability using a Style-based Generative Adversarial Autoencoder Network (SEE-GAAN), an explainability framework that uses latent space manipulation to generate a sequence of synthetic images that semantically visualizes how clinical and CNN features manifest within medical images.

Using CMIP5/6 models, we show that the inter-model relationship between warming and these climate sensitivity metrics (the basis for the constraint) arises from a similarity in transient and equilibrium warming patterns within the models, producing an effective climate sensitivity (EffCS) governing recent warming that is comparable to the value of ECS governing long-term warming under CO[Formula: see text] forcing. However, CMIP5/6 historical simulations do not reproduce observed warming patterns.

Objective: To investigate the effect of concomitant use of benzodiazepines on the efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in patients with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder (TR-MDD).
Methods: This is a retrospective study comparing rTMS treatment outcomes between patients taking benzodiazepines ( = 59) and those who were not ( = 136). Participants completed the HAM-A, HAM-D17, MADRS and ZUNG at baseline and at the end of treatment.
Background: Residents in nursing homes show a high prevalence of the musculoskeletal syndrome sarcopenia and tend not to achieve current physical activity recommendations.
Objective: The aim of this study is to identify differences in physical activity and sedentary behavior of sarcopenic residents compared with nonsarcopenic and presarcopenic residents.
Methods: Sarcopenia assessment was performed among 63 nursing home residents in Baden-Wuerttemberg (D) using the European Working Group on Sarcopenia in Older People 2 specifications.

We examined if there is a selective vulnerability of specific neurotransmitter systems in bvFTD by evaluating the link between disease-related functional alterations and the spatial distribution of specific neurotransmitter systems and their underlying gene expression levels.
Methods: Maps of fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF) were derived as a measure of local activity from resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging for 52 bvFTD patients (mean age = 61.
