Outcome of the isolated SLAP lesions and analysis of the results according to the injury mechanisms.

Superior labral anterior posterior (SLAP) lesions of the shoulder arise from various causes and have some controversies in their treatment. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcomes of arthroscopic SLAP repair and the relationship between injury mechanisms and outcomes. We evaluated the clinical results of 24 patients (mean 33 months follow-up) who had an arthroscopic isolated SLAP (type II: 21, type III: 1, type IV: 2 patients) repair with suture anchors.

Trantibial anterior cruciate ligament double bundle reconstruction technique: two tibial bundle in one tibial tunnel.

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) consists of two functional bundles that behave independently throughout the range of knee motion. Many two-bundle reconstruction techniques have been introduced to restore the function of the two bundles of the ACL. Generally, two femoral and two tibial tunnels are made during the surgery for a two-bundle ACL reconstruction.

A pull out suture for transection of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus: using a posterior trans-septal portal.

A transection (root tear or complete radial tear) injury of the medial meniscus posterior horn is not rare in the oriental area and needs to be repaired to restore the hoop tension and to reduce the extruded meniscus, which leads to osteoarthritis of the knee. In cases with transection of the medial meniscus posterior horn, the meniscus can be repaired by a pull out suture technique. However, it is difficult to manipulate a suture hook and drill a tibial tunnel in the narrow medial joint space using the traditional anterior arthroscopic technique.

Arthroscopic treatment for synovial chondromatosis of the subacromial bursa: a case report.

Synovial chondromatosis of the subacromial bursa has been reported rarely. To the best of our knowledge, there was no case report of arthroscopic treatment for synovial chondromatosis of the subacromial bursa in English literature. The authors present a case of synovial chondromatosis of the subacromial space in a 45-year-old male, which was managed by arthroscopy.

Simultaneous patellar tendon avulsion fracture from both patella and tibial tuberosity: a case report.

We present a simultaneous patella tendon avulsion fracture from both sides of its attachment in an ectopic ossified patellar tendon. Medially two thirds of the patellar tendon was detached from the inferior patella, and laterally one third of that from anterior tibial tuberosity with the patellar tendon split. Osteosynthesis was used to restore the extensor mechanism of the knee.
