Methods: A total of 180 rats were randomly allocated into three groups: a control group (group C), a sham-operated group (group S), and a controlled cortical impact induced TBI group (group T), 60 in each group. Von Frey test was performed to evaluate mechanical withdrawal thresholds.

Radiofrequency neurolysis (RFN) of the genicular nerves has recently become accepted as an effective technique to alleviate knee pain particularly in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) or postoperative pain. However, genicular nerve RFN can produce high procedure and equipment costs, longer procedural times, procedure-related pain, and failure rate of over 25%. Upper gastrointestinal injury associated with cryoablation and under placement of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) during cardiac surgery is a rare complication but potentially fatal. During the cryoablation for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, delivered cryoenergy can adversely affect the esophagus, resulting in gastroesophageal ulceration. We report the successful anesthetic management of a cervical cancer patient with SS and ILD under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia (CSE) to avoid postoperative pulmonary complications.
Case Description: A 41-year-old woman with SS complicated by recently progressive ILD was scheduled for an elective radical hysterectomy under the diagnosis of cervical cancer.
Proteus syndrome (PS) is a rare congenital hamartomatous disorder with multisystem involvement.
