In the present investigation, the optimal formulations of dental restorative composite materials were designed using hybrid FAHP (Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process)-FTOPSIS (Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) methodology of statistical techniques. The dental composite was composed of an organic matrix and different types and ratios of inorganic filler. The various performance defining attributes (PDAs) such as compressive strength, flexural strength, depth of cure, and polymerization shrinkage were taken into account to evaluate the optimal formulation of dental restorative composite materials.

A total of 160 1-day-old ducklings (average initial body weight of 53 g), were used in a 42-d feeding trial to evaluate the effects of reducing nutrient density of diets, and supplementing the diets with a phytogenic blend (quillaja, anise, and thyme) on their growth, carcass quality, and nutrient digestibility. After checking body weight on d 1, the birds were sorted into pens with 5 birds/pen and 8 pens/treatment. The treatments were: T1, Basal diet; T2, T1+150 ppm phytogenic blend; T3, T1-(1% CP, 0.

Objective: Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) using delayed hormone treatment (HT) have failed to validate the reduction in cardiovascular disease-associated events found in observational studies of early menopausal HT (MHT). The Timing Hypothesis--effects of differences between the chronologic age/length of postmenopause of study participants--continues to be questioned as an explanation for the discrepant outcomes. We reviewed evidence regarding the basis of the hypothesis and its suitability to explain differences in outcomes between MHT and HT trials.

Electrostatic and electrochemical properties of bio-molecules, such as proteins, are governed by energy parameters that are, in part dependent on its folding. Disruption of this process can lead to the development of complex, multisystem diseases whose presentation may be organ-dependent. Examples include cystic fibrosis, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and Alzheimer disease.

We report an unbalanced translocation involving chromosome 2 and 7 due to a balanced reciprocal translocation 2;7 in the father. The female fetus had a partial trisomy of the long arm of chromosome 2 with a partial monosomy of distal 7q. Ultrasound at the first trimester had indicated normal fetal anatomy, including normal intracranial structures.
