Prediction of minor head injured patients using logistic regression and MLP neural network.

In this study it is aimed to assess the posttraumatic cerebral hemodynamia in minor head injured patients. Eighty patients with minor head injury (Group 1) evaluated in the early 8 h of posttraumatic period between July 2003 and February 2004. The control group (Group 2) has composed of 32 healthy people.

Splenic vein aneurysm with calcification of splenic and portal veins.

Splenic vein aneurysm is a rare disease, and calcifications in the portal venous system are also rare. Here we present a case of splenic vein aneurysm associated with calcification of the splenic and portal veins, a condition that to our knowledge has not been reported before.

Iatrogenic vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm: US, CT and MRI findings.

Vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm (VAP) is the result of the penetrating neck trauma, chiropractic manipulation, vasculopathies and rarely iatrogenic due to internal jugular vein (IJV) catheterization. It should be identified and treated immediately because of its potential risk of rupture. We present a case of a right VAP resulting from jugular vein catheterization, with the Doppler ultrasonography (US), Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.
