We evaluated the surgical stress response of dogs undergoing three ovariohysterectomy (OVH) techniques. Twenty-nine healthy females were allocated into groups: celiotomy and ligature (CelioSut), celiotomy and bipolar energy (CelioBip), and a video-assisted technique using two portals and bipolar energy (VidBip). Clinical evaluation was performed, and the following blood analyses were determined: acute phase proteins (C-reactive protein and haptoglobin), white blood cell counting (WBC), and biomarkers of oxidative status.

Magnesium is an essential nutrient for various physiological processes and becomes even more vital during pregnancy, contributing to muscle relaxation, bone development, electrolyte balance, and blood pressure regulation. Despite the fact that the dietary sources of magnesium are diversified, it is still challenging to obtain it in sufficient quantities during pregnancy. We have elucidated its interactions and its specific impact on maternal-fetal health in different research publications.

MDR bacteria challenges is hazardous when microorganisms induce the formation of biofilms, which amplify resistance to antibiotics and promote the development of multidrug-resistant conditions. The unique physicochemical properties of certain nanomaterials make nanotechnology a promising option for combating MDR infections.

While traditional biomarkers such as cholesterol levels and blood pressure are commonly used, they do not fully capture oxidative damage. Malondialdehyde (MDA), a byproduct of lipid peroxidation, offers additional insights into oxidative stress and CAD severity.

Through a complex interplay of signals and feedback mechanisms, the lungs communicate with the heart to ensure maintenance of homeostasis and supporting the body's metabolic demands. In the current study, we assessed the crosstalk between DiNP-induced asthma and cardiac cellular respiration, oxidative stress, apoptotic potential, and induction of oncogenic factors.

The aim of this molecular study was to investigate the spread of ESBL and Carbapenemase-producing in two hospitals located in Southwest Iran.
Methods: One hundred clinical isolates of were randomly collected from two hospitals over a period of five months, from November 2023.
Objective: Aim: This study aims to evaluate how various factors affect various aspects of glycemic control in individuals with type 2 diabetes who are undergoing metformin treatment.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study involved 150 participants who met specific criteria, including being aged between 30 and 70, having a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, and using 1000 mg of metformin as the monotherapy for at least three months. Collected data encompassed various measures, such as levels of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose concentrations, fasting serum insulin levels, Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR), and insulin sensitivity.
Objective: Aim: To assess the impact of BMI and diet control on variation in response to metformin monotherapy in Iraqi people with type 2 DM.
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: a cross-sectional study included 150 patients who met specific criteria, such as being between 30 and 70 years old, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and on a daily dose of 1000 mg metformin as a monotherapy for at least three months. Data collected included body mass index (BMI) and glycemic control parameters such as: glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, fasting blood glucose levels, fasting serum insulin levels, HOMA-IR, and insulin sensitivity.

The brain is an energy demanding organ, constituting about 20 % of the body's resting metabolic rate. An efficient energy metabolism is critical to neuronal functions. Glucose serves as the primary essential energy source for the adult brain and plays a critical role in supporting neural growth and development.

The effective management of airways in patients with intra-tracheal lesions necessitates close collaboration between surgeons and anesthesiologists. Factors such as the size, location, rigidity of the tumor, and the remaining tracheal lumen space should be carefully considered.

Thirty-five male Swiss mice (8-12 weeks old, 23-33g) were randomly assigned to five groups ( = 7 each): (1) Normal, fed usual diets, (2) Sham, subjected to anesthesia and laparotomy, (3) Sepsis, subjected to cecal ligation and puncture, (4) Vehicle, given an equivalent volume of intraperitoneal saline injections immediately after cecal ligation and puncture, and (5) Ghrelin-treated, administered 80 µg/kg ghrelin intraperitoneal injections immediately following cecal ligation and puncture. Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), and 8-epi-prostaglandin F2 alpha (8-epi-PGF2α) were measured.
