- This study aimed to compare the strength and failure types of two types of zirconia crowns: monolithic (second-generation) and bilayered (first-generation), using different types of cement.
- A total of 36 crowns were tested, divided into groups based on their design (monolith vs. bilayered) and the type of cement used (glass ionomer cement vs. resin cement).
- The results showed that monolithic zirconia crowns had greater fracture resistance than bilayered ones, and resin cement provided better support compared to glass ionomer cement.*
