Background: Current approach to clinically suspicious biopsy-naïve men consists performing prostate MRI, followed by combined systematic (TRUS-Bx) and MRI-Ultrasound fusion biopsy (MRI-TBx) in those with PIRADS score ≥ 3. Researchers have attempted to determine who benefits from each biopsy method, but the results do not support the safe use of one method alone. This study aims to determine the optimal approach in biopsy-naïve men, according to their PSA levels.

In this study, we examine the demographic and lifestyle risk factors associated with less frequent coitus among infertile couples. Methods This cross-sectional study examined infertile couples actively trying to conceive, selecting them from patients seeking fertility treatment.

While risk factors such as advanced maternal age, elevated pre-pregnancy body mass index, multiparity, and a history of gestational diabetes have been recognized, the role of serum biomarkers remains uncertain. This study explores the predictive value of early-pregnancy laboratory findings in conjunction with maternal demographic and clinical characteristics for gestational diabetes mellitus.

This study aimed to investigate the factors associated with delivery related claims.
Method: In this cross-sectional study, we conducted an analysis of medico-legal documents which related to complications during delivery events and presented to Iranian Medical Legal Organization spanning from March 2018 to February 2020.
Introduction: This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of electric-scooter (E-Scooter) injuries by evaluating the incidence, common mechanisms of injury, clinical outcomes, associated costs, and effective interventions for injury prevention.
Methods: A literature search using PubMed, Google Scholar, EMBASE, and ProQuest was performed to identify relevant articles published between July 10, 2014, and July 10, 2024. Outcomes of interest included epidemiologic trends of E-Scooter injuries, common mechanisms of injury, associated risk factors, clinical outcomes, and interventions to decrease E-Scooter injuries.
Background: Chronic inflammation is associated with many inflammatory diseases. Specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) are well known for their crucial role in promoting the resolution phase of inflammation and restoring tissue homeostasis. Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is an endogenous omega-3-derived lipid mediator with pro-resolving activity.

Anti-M antibodies can rarely cause severe forms of alloimmunization in the fetus and newborn. We present a case of severe anti-M alloimmunization requiring a total of 8 intrauterine transfusions, in a patient with a prior poor obstetrical history.

This review aims to explore existing literature to evaluate nutrition assessment tools, feeding formulations' caloric predictive ability, timing of initiation of feeding, optimal nutritional composition, and caloric intake in burn patients.
Methods: Three databases were searched to glean studies investigating nutrition in acute severe adult burn patient populations in four areas: outcomes based on feeding type and timing, the caloric predictability of nutritional assessment tools, outcomes associated with the composition of feeding formulas, and considerations related to caloric intake.
Objective: Postpartum depression (PPD) is a common mental disorder among women and it can cause negative consequences for them, children, and families; however, accurate statistics and underlying factors on PPD and its severity are not available in Iran.
Materials And Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 200 women referred to an academic hospital for normal vaginal delivery, which had a full-term and single pregnancy and had passed between 6 weeks and 6 months of delivery, were selected by convenience sampling methods. The Edinburgh Depression Inventory and the checklist for demographic information of mothers were completed.
Purpose: Diagnosing the placenta accreta spectrum is crucial to prevent morbidities and mortalities among women with the suspicion of this pathology. We aim to evaluate novel ultrasonography markers for these patients in diagnosing and predicting prognosis.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed in a referral academic hospital.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one of the most common forms of neurodegenerative diseases. Apolipoprotein E4 (ApoE4) is the main genetic risk factor in the development of late-onset AD. However, the exact mechanism underlying ApoE4-mediated neurodegeneration remains unclear.

Dysregulation of apoptosis is strongly implicated in the pathophysiology of numerous disorders, making it essential to comprehend its underlying mechanisms. One key factor that has garnered significant attention in the regulation of apoptotic pathways is HMG-CoA reductase degradation protein 1, also known as HRD1.

Presentation Of Case: A 27-year-old woman with term pregnancy, had a normal vaginal delivery at 39 weeks of gestation, and a large episiotomy was performed due to the estimated neonate weight to prevent shoulder dystocia.
Introduction: This narrative review aims to evaluate the efficacy of adjunct direct peritoneal resuscitation (DPR) in the treatment of adult damage control surgery (DCS) patients both with and without hemorrhagic shock, and its impact on associated outcomes.
Methods: PubMed, Google Scholar, EMBASE, ProQuest, and Cochrane were searched for relevant articles published through April 13th, 2023. Studies assessing the utilization of DPR in adult DCS patients were included.

Cancer is one of the most common diseases and causes of death worldwide. Since common treatment approaches do not yield acceptable results in many patients, developing innovative strategies for effective treatment is necessary. Immunotherapy is one of the promising approaches that has been highly regarded for preventing tumor recurrence and new metastases.

To achieve this, the hTSCs were isolated from small antral follicles of three patients of varying ages and were then seeded in a differentiation medium for 40 days. The differentiated hGCLCs were subsequently aggregated with somatic ovarian cells (cumulus cells and hTSCs) in a ratio of 1:10 and cultured in a growth medium in a suspension culture dish.
