View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) rupture after methotrexate (MTX) treatment can have severe consequences. We examined clinical characteristics and beta-hCG trends that may predict EP rupture after MTX treatment.
Study Design: In this 10-year retrospective study of 277 women with an EP, we compared clinical, sonographic and beta-hCG trends, before and after MTX treatment, between those who did and did not have an EP rupture after MTX treatment.
Problem: Before 2003 there was substantial underreporting of deaths in Jordan. The death notification form did not comply with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and information on the cause of death was often missing, incomplete or inaccurate.
Approach: A new mortality surveillance system to determine the causes of death was implemented in 2003 and a unit for coding causes of death was established at the ministry of health.
