Primary culture of mammary epithelial cells (MEC) was exposed to ethyl-acetate, chloroform and hexane extracts of (lentisk). The hexane extract contained mainly ethyl gallate whereas the chloroform extract contained mainly ethyl-gallate with smaller amount of gallic acid, and the ethyl-acetate extract contained mainly rutin, gallic acid and myricetin. Ethyl acetate extract increased secretion of protein and fat and improved mitochondrial activity.

Damascus goats were given a lentisk infusion (LI) or fresh water (FW) to drink, in a crossover design. Milk from LI vs.

Pregnancy imprints specific maternal immune responses that can modulate host susceptibility to microbial infection; therefore, recent studies have focused on the humoral response against SARS-CoV-2 in pregnant women. However, the pregnancy-specific cellular immune responses triggered by SARS-CoV-2 infection are poorly understood.

However, the cellular underpinnings of human parturition in the uterine tissues are still poorly understood. Herein, we performed a comprehensive study of the human myometrium during spontaneous term labor using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-Seq).

Study Design: We performed a cross-sectional study of 500 subjects at a tertiary center between 2012 and 2014. Subjects were included who had inpatient status and an ICD-9 code for pregnancy; those with an ICD-9 code for ectopic pregnancy were excluded.
Introduction: The third molars are forgotten because they are the last in the dental arch, they do not directly influence the smile and they appear only in adolescence, when they do.
Objectives: 1) to provide the clinician with a "checklist" to assess and diagnose changes to be screened in the third molar region in new patients; 2) to reveal the importance of not discharging the patient submitted to any dental treatment without first analyzing the third molars region clinically and on imaging examinations, since many diseases are associated to them.
Result: A list of 10 situations that cover all diagnostic possibilities involving the third molars is presented.
Introduction: Teeth frequently fail to erupt and situations arise that prevent the canines from reaching the occlusal plane.
Objective: Discourse about the three situations in which the canine does not reach the occlusal plane, and remains unerupted; and at the same time, point how to make a safe diagnosis of alveolodental ankylosis - one of the three causes -, based on tomography.
Conclusions: Ankylosis occurs in impacted teeth by atrophy of the periodontal ligament, including the epithelial rests of Malassez.
We assessed the potential of phenolic compounds from Pistacia lentiscus (lentisk) to enhance production of milk constituents in bovine mammary epithelial cells (MEC). MEC were exposed to 0 (control), 1 or 10 ppm of polyphenols from lentisk ethanolic extract (PLEE) for 24 h. PLEE were absorbed by the MEC plasma membrane, but also penetrated the cell to accumulate in and around the nucleus.

Introduction: The dental pulp is completely normal in teeth with periapical cemento-osseous dysplasia. However, orthodontic and endodontic treatments are contraindicated in cases with this injury.
Objective: Present some biological, clinical and imaging reasons opposing these contraindications and questioning which are the real ones impediments and the reasons for the lack of research on the disease, analyzing cases submitted to orthopedic treatment under controlled and ethically approved conditions.
We evaluated the effects of processing - pasteurization and yoghurt manufacturing - on some health-promoting lipidome components in milk from two feeding treatments - brushland grazing or hay-feeding in confinement - in dairy goats. The contents of fat and protein were higher, and of urea, lower, in grazing goats. Fatty acid composition - at the exception of saturated fatty acids - was affected by dietary management and milk processing.

The absent interdental bone and the lack of functional periodontal stimulus may lead to the fusion of the appositional layers of cement between the roots of the teeth. Concrescence almost always occurs in the region of the maxillary molars.

CPE-fed ewes had higher milk yield, and fat, protein and lactose contents than controls. Milk PL content-20% higher in the CPE-supplemented group-was regulated by treatment and not by total fat content; milk phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylcholine increased by 22 and 26%, respectively, in CPE-supplemented vs.

Objectives: To identify and characterize top-cited OBGYN articles in the Institute for Scientific Information Web of Science's Science Citation Index Expanded and to compare top-cited OBGYN articles published in specialty OBGYN journals with those published in nonspecialty journals.

Despite the explanations about the mechanisms and reasons why dental follicles of unerupted maxillary canines do not cause root resorption in neighboring teeth, questions remain about the time expected for this event and the lack of protocols for preventive clinical management, which may serve as insights for further studies. Here, these mechanisms are correlated with imaging findings of CT scans and 3D reconstructions of a typical clinical case.
