Background: The number of patients referred to French University dermatology departments for skin cancers has increased continuously for many years. The aim of this study was to assess the management and number of patients who died in our dermatology department over a 10-year period.
Patients And Methods: All cases of patients who died in our dermatology department from 1992 to 2002 were retrospectively assessed.
Objective: To analyse the efficacy of two types of analgesia protocols during outpatient electromagnetic extracorporeal lithotripsy (ESWL) with a STORZ Modulith SLX second generation lithotriptor.
Material And Methods: One hundred and seventy one patients were prospectively randomized to 2 groups. Group 1 (n-82) received 40 mg of Piroxicam IM, and group 2 (n=89) received 100 mg Tramadol IV Lithotripsy was performed in 2 sequences, T1 and T2, during which quantitative evaluation of pain (VE) was performed according to a VAS scale and qualitative evaluation of pain (QE) was performed according to the McGill questionnaire.
The aim of palliative care for urinary tract cancer is to preserve the quality of life. Various urological disorders may need care: hematuria, micturition trouble, upper urinary tract obstruction complicated with pain or renal insufficiency. Endourological procedures have widely improved therapy.

This syndrom seems to be due to an acceleration of the catabolism of cerebral norepinephrin, and the treatment by imipramine seems to inhibit the decrease of its rate.

Pretreatment by benserazide (50 mg/kg) and L.dopa (100 mg/kg) reduces functionnal deficiency produced by hypoxic hypoxia in rats reduces hemodynamic modifications in relation to it (rheoencephalogram) without any effect on ventilation.

Such a reaction is consequent with an hypoxic stimulation of adrenal glands.
