Objectives: To examine safety and efficacy of very young patients under the age of six who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) at our institution for the indications of either complicated acute rhinosinusitis (ARS) or chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).
Methods: Retrospective cohort review of patients under six years old who underwent ESS for sinonasal pathology between 2016 and 2023 at a freestanding pediatric hospital. Age, sex, weight, diagnosis, laterality of disease, medications, types and number of surgical interventions, usage of image guidance, and outcomes were obtained from the medical record.
Background: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement-related infective endocarditis (TAVR-IE) is associated with a poor prognosis. TAVR-IE diagnosis is challenging, and benefits of the most recent classifications (ESC-2015, ISCVID-2023 and ESC-2023) have not been compared with the conventional Duke criteria on this population.
Objectives: The primary objective was to compare the diagnostic value of the Duke, ESC-2015, ISCVID-2023, and ESC-2023 criteria for the diagnosis of TAVR-IE.
Fibrosis is one of the key healing responses to injury, especially within the heart where it helps to maintain structural integrity following acute insults such as myocardial infarction. However, if it becomes dysregulated then fibrosis can become maladaptive leading to adverse remodelling, impaired cardiac function and heart failure. Fibroblast activation protein is exclusively expressed by activated fibroblasts, the key effector cells of fibrogenesis, and has a unique extracellular domain that is an ideal ligand for novel molecular imaging probes.

However, little is known about the effectiveness and acceptability of asynchronous digital health to support care for individuals with asthma (eg, asthma reviews).
Objective: We aimed to systematically review the qualitative and quantitative evidence on the role of asynchronous digital health for asthma care.
Importance: Correction of tricuspid regurgitation using tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (T-TEER) in addition to guideline-directed optimized medical therapy (OMT) may improve clinical outcomes.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of T-TEER + OMT vs OMT alone in patients with severe, symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Investigator-initiated, prospective, randomized (1:1) trial evaluating T-TEER + OMT vs OMT alone in adult patients with severe, symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation.
Background: Early access experience in France with tafamidis meglumine, a selective transthyretin stabilizer for transthyretin-related amyloidosis cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), following transthyretin-related amyloidosis (ATTR) polyneuropathy approval and positive ATTR-ACT study results.
Aim: To describe the characteristics and clinical outcomes for patients in the French ATTR-CM tafamidis meglumine early access programme (28 Nov 2018 to 01 Jun 2021).
Methods: Patients with confirmed ATTR-CM received tafamidis meglumine 20mg/day or 80mg/day.

Background And Aims: Severe tricuspid regurgitation is associated with increased mortality rates, but benefit of its correction and ideal timing are not clearly determined. This study aimed to identify patient subsets who might benefit from the surgery.
Methods: In TRIGISTRY, an international cohort study of consecutive patients with severe isolated functional tricuspid regurgitation (33 centres, 10 countries), survival rates up to 10 years were compared between patients who underwent isolated tricuspid valve surgery (repair or replacement) and those conservatively managed, overall and according to TRI-SCORE category (low: ≤3, intermediate: 4-5, and high: ≥6).
EUROPEAN REGISTRY OF INFECTIOUS ENDOCARDITIS. The EURO-ENDO registry was initiated in 2018. Its objectives were to assess the epidemiological, clinical, bacteriological, and prognostic features of infective endocarditis.

Our estimates unify and extend various results from the literature and provide a number of geometric applications. In particular, we derive an inequality which relates the eigenvalues of the Jacobi operator for -minimal hypersurfaces and the spectrum of the Hodge Laplacian.

However, there is a lack of research on the genetic diversity and epidemiology of HAdVs in Pakistan. This study characterized HAdVs in pediatric patients with respiratory tract infections in Karachi, Pakistan, between 2022 and 2023.

Aim: To assess high-degree atrioventricular block occurrence, contributing factors, prognosis and evolution in patients referred for aortic infective endocarditis.
Methods: Two hundred and five patients referred for aortic valve infective endocarditis between January 2018 and March 2021 were included in this study.
Introduction: The use of medicinal cannabis for managing pain expands, although its efficacy and safety have not been fully established through randomized controlled trials.
Objectives: This structured, prospective questionnaire-based cohort was aimed to assess long-term effectiveness and safety of cannabis oil extracts in patients with chronic pain.
Methods: Adult Israeli patients licensed to use cannabis oil extracts for chronic pain were followed prospectively for 6 months.
Objective: We aimed to describe characteristics of patients with ATTR variant polyneuropathy (ATTRv-PN) and ATTRv-mixed and assess the real-world use and safety profile of tafamidis meglumine 20mg.
Methods: Thirty-eight French hospitals were invited. Patient files were reviewed to identify clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment compliance.
(1) Background: infective endocarditis (IE) is a significant health concern associated with important morbidity and mortality. Only limited, often monocentric, retrospective data on IE in Belgium are available. This prospective study sought to assess the clinical characteristics and outcomes of Belgian IE patients in the ESC EORP European endocarditis (EURO-ENDO) registry; (2) Methods: 132 IE patients were identified based on the ESC 2015 criteria and included in six tertiary hospitals in Belgium; (3) Results: The average Belgian IE patient was male and 62.

Methods: Retrospective review of 10 HAA-IE patients based on a total of 623 IE patients managed in 2 institutions (2008-2020) versus 35 literature cases.
Results: In our patient population, HAAs (10 males, mean age 48) were incidentally found during IE workup.
