Buschke-Lowenstein tumors primarily are slow-growing giant condylomata accuminata of the anogenital region. They are locally destructive with a low rate of metastasis. Sexually transmitted oncogenic human papillomavirus type 6 and 11 are the greatest risk factors for Buschke-Lowenstein tumors or verrucous carcinomas, a type of squamous cell cancer.
