You are simply not funny: Development and validation of a scale to measure failed humor in leadership.

Research has recently established the notion that humor in leadership contributes to the development of a positive professional relationship between leaders and followers. This relationship has been supposed to be the core mechanism which humor in leadership unfolds its effects on work attitudes and behaviors. However, research has neglected the option that humor used by leaders might fail to amuse their followers.

Eosinophils are not essential for maintenance of murine plasma cells in the bone marrow.

Eosinophils were reported to serve as an essential component of the plasma cell niche within the bone marrow. As the potential contribution of eosinophils to humoral immunity has remained incompletely understood, we aimed to further characterize their role during antibody responses and to additionally investigate their role in autoimmune disease. Contrary to our expectations and the currently prevailing paradigm, we found that eosinophils are fully dispensable for the survival of murine bone marrow plasma cells and accordingly do not contribute to antibody production and autoantibody-mediated disease.

Simultaneous assessment of hand function and neuromuscular quickness through a static object manipulation task in healthy adults.

Both hand function [as seen through the coordination between grip force (GF) and load force (LF)] and the ability to produce a submaximal force quickly (i.e., neuromuscular quickness) are two important qualities of motor function that could be seriously affected by the presence of neurological diseases.

Bone marrow imaging using 111In-citrate: 111In-kinetics in the pelvic region.

When bone marrow scintigraphy was performed using 111In-citrate, radioactivity was observed in the pudendal region. Subsequently, the kinetics of 111In in the pelvic region after intravenous administration of 111In-citrate for bone-marrow scanning in 14 patients was examined. On the first day, radioindium was found predominantly in the large pelvic blood vessels and in the pudendal region.

[99mTc-sulfur-rhenium colloid and 111In-indium citrate in bone-marrow scintigraphy].

Bone marrow scinitigraphy using 111In-Indium-citrate and 99mTc-sulfur rhenium colloid was compared with each other in 6 male and 3 female patients. Our results in all patients were in favour of 111In-citrate which caused a better delineation of morphological details than 99mTc-sulfur rhenium colloid did. In the first days after intravenous administration of 111In-citrate, radioindium accumulated markedly in the pudendal region, this finding being more distinct in male patients than in female ones.
