In this work, polypyrrole-based nanocomposites doped with graphene oxide, molybdate, and salicylate (PPy/GO/Mo/Sal) were synthesized via electrochemical polymerization to enhance the anti-corrosion protection performance of polymer coatings. The morphology and structures of the coatings were characterized by SEM, EDX, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, and XRD. The protection abilities of coatings against corrosion were investigated in 0.

Polypyrrole (PPy) films doped with molybdate and salicylate have been successfully electropolymerized on low carbon steel in aqueous solutions containing both molybdate and salicylate in a one-step process that did not require any pre-treatment of the steel substrate. Salicylate-doped PPy films were synthesized in the same way for comparison. The steel surface was rapidly inhibited and the PPy-based films were formed on it easily.

The synthesis and spectroscopic data of ()-2-{4-[3-(thio-phen-3-yl)acrylo-yl]phen-oxy}acetic acid are described. Crystallization from an ethanol-water mixture resulted in the title compound, CHKOS or [K(CHOS)(CHOS)] , containing one mol-ecule of the acid and one mol-ecule of the potassium salt in the asymmetric unit. Both mol-ecules share the H atom between their carboxyl groups and a potassium ion.

Article Synopsis
  • Left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) is frequently observed in sepsis, and speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE) is an effective method to assess heart function in this context.
  • A study evaluated the connection between high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) levels and subclinical LVSD among septic patients, finding that a high percentage of these patients exhibited elevated hs-cTnT levels and LVSD.
  • The results suggest that hs-cTnT could serve as a valuable biomarker for identifying LVSD in septic individuals, with the study identifying it as a significant predictor of the condition.

The conductive properties of polypyrrole chains doped with ClO or MoO anions and the existence of polarons and bipolarons in these doped polypyrrole chains were investigated by performing computational calculations based on density functional theory (DFT). Doping with these anions was found to decrease the band gap of the polypyrrole. Theoretical calculations revealed that changing the type of oxidative agent applied does not affect the conversion of polypyrrole into a conducting polymer, but the conductivity of the doped polypyrrole does depend on the ratio of oxidant to polypyrrole.
