Chlorantraniliprole (CHL), a favored agricultural insecticide, is renowned for its high efficiency and broad-spectrum effectiveness against lepidoptera insects. However, the urgency for new insecticide development is underscored by the intricate multistep preparation process and modest overall yields of CHL, along with the escalating challenge of insect resistance. In response, we have crafted CHL mimics from proline employing computer-aided drug design.

As temperature adaptation is a function of repeated exposure over time, we need empirical approaches that can depict individuals' temperature history to rigorously examine this claim. Using a longitudinal dataset representative of China, we construct lifetime temperature exposure unique to each individual based on their birth-dates, birth-locations, and movement history.

A compelling example of complex and specialized actin structures in cells are filopodia which sense extracellular chemical and mechanical signals to help steer motile cells. Filopodia have distinct actin architecture, composed of long, parallel actin filaments bundled by fascin, which form finger-like membrane protrusions.

Background: Breast abscess during lactation is a severe complication of acute mastitis, which can lead to discomfort, high fever, breast fistula, sepsis, septic shock, breast damage, disease persistence and frequent hospitalization. Breast abscesses may also lead the mother to discontinue breastfeeding, thereby harming the infant's health. The predominant pathogenic bacteria are , and .

Orbital inflammatory pseudotumor (OIP) is a kind of orbital idiopathic benign space-occupying lesion with no clear etiology and mainly characterized by inflammatory response. The clinical diagnosis of OIP should be based on exclusion of other diseases or surgical biopsy. Medication and surgical excision are both diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

Aim: To investigate the value of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) in the evaluation of the severity and prognosis of UC.
Methods: Patients with UC who were seen in our hospital from March 2019 to December 2020 were eligible, and disease severity was evaluated according to the modified Truelove and Witts and Mayo scores.
A safe, biocompatible, and stimuli-responsive cucurbit[7]uril-mediated supramolecular bactericidal nanoparticle was fabricated by encapsulating a highly bioactive carbazole-decorated imidazolium salt (, EC = 0.647 μg/mL against phytopathogen pv ) into the host cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]), thereby leading to self-assembled topographies from microsheets () to nanospheroidal architectures (@CB[7]). The assembly behaviors were elucidated by acquired single-crystal structures, H NMR, ITC, and X-ray powder diffraction experiments.

Meta-learning has become a practical approach towards few-shot image classification, where "a strategy to learn a classifier" is meta-learned on labeled base classes and can be applied to tasks with novel classes. We remove the requirement of base class labels and learn generalizable embeddings via Unsupervised Meta-Learning (UML). Specifically, episodes of tasks are constructed with data augmentations from unlabeled base classes during meta-training, and we apply embedding-based classifiers to novel tasks with labeled few-shot examples during meta-test.

This study was a single-center, single-blind, randomized controlled study. From June 2020 to December 2020, sixty TAO patients in Zhongshan Ophthalmic center, Sun Yat-sen University who were allocated to receive orbital decompression under general anesthesia, were randomly and equally divided into two groups (=30): the control group (group C) and the medial canthus peribulbar block group (group PB).

Many existing works take the meta-learning approach, constructing a few-shot learner (a meta-model) that can learn from few-shot examples to generate a classifier. Typically, the few-shot learner is constructed or meta-trained by sampling multiple few-shot tasks in turn and optimizing the few-shot learner's performance in generating classifiers for those tasks.

In an attempt to develop highly bioactive, eco-friendly, and biocompatible supramolecular complexes for managing intractable plant bacterial diseases, herein, a type of interesting adamantane-functionalized 1,3,4-oxadiazole was rationally prepared to facilitate the formation of supramolecular complexes via β-cyclodextrin-adamantane host-guest interactions. Initial antibacterial screening revealed that most of these adamantane-decorated 1,3,4-oxadiazoles were obviously bioactive against three typically destructive phytopathogens.

Methods: Patients with active LN during pregnancy were divided into the new-onset group (LN first occurred during pregnancy) and the pre-existing group (a history of LN) on the basis of the onset time of LN.
Three mononuclear, dinuclear and one-dimensional dysprosium(III) complexes based on 3-azotriazolyl-2,6-dihydroxybenzoic acid (HATB) of [Dy(HATB)]·3HO (1), [Dy(HATB)(HDHB)(HO)]·2CHCN·5HO (2), and [Dy(HATB)(DCB)(DMF)(HO)]·4DMF (3) were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction (HDHB = 2,6-dihydroxybenzoic acid, HDCB = 1,4-dicarboxybenzene). Complex 1 was used as a precursor to synthesize complexes 2 and 3, and 2 was further used to synthesize 3. Complex 1 is a mononuclear complex, in which the Dy(III) ion is in a nine-coordinated structure surrounded by three tridentate chelate HATB ligands.

However, anesthesia-controlled time (ACT) can cause increased non-operative operating room (OR) time which may adversely affect the ORs efficiency. This study was aimed to compare the ACT of desflurane with that of propofol-remifentanil in strabismus ambulatory surgery.

Patients with thyroid associated ophthalmopathy often have elevated intraocular pressure. Patients and doctors are often confused about whether intraocular hypertension in thyroid associated ophthalmopathy needs to be lowered. There are several theories on the possible causes of this kind of increased intraocular pressure: restriction and compression of the globe by fibrotic and enlarged rectus muscles, increased episcleral venous pressure resulting from orbital congestion and venous outflow obstruction, and increased resistance to trabecular outflow.
