The introduction of two imidazolium groups at the ends of the two alkyl side chains of [Ir(ppy)(2)(dC6-daf)](+)(PF(6))(-) (ppy = 2-phenylpyridine, dC6-daf = 9,9'-dihexyl-4,5-diazafluorene) gave the complex [Ir(ppy)(2)(dC6MIM-daf)](3+)[(PF(6))(-)](3) (dC6MIM-daf = 9,9-bis[6-(3-methylimidazolium)hexyl]-1-yl-4,5-diazafluorene). Objective: To investigate the effects of Astragalus injection (AI) on basal-like breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-468 and murine bone marrow stromal stem cells (mMSCs).
Methods: MDA-MB-468 cells and primary cultured mMSCs were treated by different concentrations of AI, and with untreated MDA-MB-468 cells as blank control. The morphology of cells was observed by phase-contrast inverted microscope and transmission electron microscopy.
Objective: To analyze the clinical and laboratory features and risk factors of multiple myeloma (MM) with extramedullary disease (EM) and its extraosseous localizations at diagnosis and during the course of MM.
Methods: The clinical features, survival rate and prognostic factors were retrospectively analyzed in 40 patients having EM from a total of 418 MM patients hospitalized in Changzheng Hospital from 1993 to 2006.
Results: Among the 40 patients, the first three localizations of EM involved soft tissue, pleura or peritoneum and central nervous system (CNS).

Research Design And Methods: Diabetic patients (n = 500,868) and an age- and sex-matched control group (n = 500,248) were linked to inpatient claims (1997-2002) to identify hospitalizations for nontransport accident hip fracture. The person-year approach with Poisson assumption and Kaplan-Meier analysis were used to estimate the incidence and the cumulative event rates.
Molecular dynamics simulation was applied to investigate the metabolism mechanism for quinone analogues. Favourable hydrogen bonds between ligand and NQO1, and parallel orientation between ligand and flavin adenine dinucleotide could explain the difference of metabolism rate (in micromol/min/mg) for quinone analogues. This is consistent with the experimental observation (Structure 2001;9:659-667).

The measurement probes (Sivers) correlations between the transverse spin orientation of a proton and the transverse momentum directions of its partons. In minimum bias collisions the v2 of the phi meson is consistent with the trend observed for mesons. The ratio of the yields of the Omega to those of the phi as a function of transverse momentum is consistent with a model based on the recombination of thermal s quarks up to pT approximately 4 GeV/c, but disagrees at higher momenta.
