Coccinellidae (Coleoptera: Coccinelloidea) from Colombia: A systematic and illustrated list.

A synopsis of the family Coccinellidae of Colombia is presented, including an annotated list of the species recorded in the country based on published data, a revision of national and foreign collections, and information obtained from citizen science. The list includes 404 species grouped in 81 genera, 21 tribes and two subfamilies. There are 395 native species recorded (among them 201 considered endemic), and nine introduced.

Redescriptions, new synonymy, new combination and new records of Bacis Dejean, 1836 and Oligocorynus Dejean, 1876 (Coleoptera: Erotylidae: Erotylinae) for Colombia.

Bacis nigropictus Crotch, 1876 and Phricobacis flavomaculatus Mader, 1943 are redescribed. Redescriptions are provided with illustrations of diagnostic characters. Based upon the study of type material, Zonarius limbatus Kuhnt, 1910 is considered a new synonym of B.

Description of the larvae of Cotinis aliena Woodruff, 2008 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae: Gymnetini), with a key to the known larvae of New World Gymnetini.

The larvae of Cotinis aliena Woodruff, 2008 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae: Gymnetini), from the type locality in the Florida Keys (United States of America), are described and illustrated for the first time and compared with the known larvae of other Cotinis Burmeister, 1842 species. A revised key to the known third instars of New World Gymnetini is provided.

A new species and first record of Cotinis Burmeister (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae) for Venezuela.

A new Cotinis Burmeister (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae: Gymnetini) species from Venezuela is described and illustrated. The new species is compared with Cotinis barthelemyi (Gory & Percheron) from Colombia. The Neotropical distribution of Cotinis is expanded to Venezuela.
