There is an ongoing need for scalable tools to aid researchers in both retrospective and prospective standardization of discrete entity types-such as disease names, cell types, or chemicals-that are used in metadata associated with biomedical data. When metadata are not well-structured or precise, the associated data are harder to find and are often burdensome to reuse, analyze, or integrate with other datasets due to the upfront curation effort required to make the data usable-typically through retrospective standardization and cleaning of the (meta)data. With the goal of facilitating the task of standardizing metadata-either in bulk or in a one-by-one fashion, e.

Previous studies have found evidence that the maximum blood pressure reading during labor and delivery admission can predict readmission; however, the optimal blood pressure to reduce the need for readmissions and additional medical treatment in the postpartum period is not known.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between postpartum blood pressure control at discharge and readmission within the first 6 weeks after delivery.
Researchers conduct post-construction fatality monitoring (PCFM) to determine a wind energy facility's direct impacts on wildlife. Results of PCFM can be used to evaluate compliance with permitted take, potentially triggering adaptive management measures or offsetting mitigation; reducing uncertainty in fatality rates benefits wind companies, wildlife agencies, and other stakeholders. As part of PCFM, investigators conduct carcass persistence trials to account for imperfect detection during carcass surveys.

Until now, no geological replicate of the pattern had been described. However, one of the White Sands species, the lesser earless lizard (), has been discovered to also inhabit the Salt Basin Dunes of Texas, where it has also evolved a blanched morph.

Elucidating the molecular mechanisms that give rise to this variation is thus of crucial importance for understanding how organisms evolve. In addition to variation caused by point mutations, structural variation (deletions, duplications, inversions, translocations) is also an important source of variety.

This leads to the chemical formulas ZrZrTeP and MnZrZrTeP for the parent and substituted compounds, respectively. The impact of the Mn ions is seen in the anisotropic magnetic susceptibility, where Curie-Weiss fits to the data indicate that the Mn ions are in the divalent state.

The formation of binary intermediates CeGa and NiGa was observed during heating. During cooling of the molten mixture from 900 °C, precipitation of BaAl-type CeNiGa occurred at 850 °C.

Prenatal ultrasound is an indispensable tool used by obstetrical care providers to assist in the everyday care of their pregnant patients. Alongside advancements in imaging, the electronic systems that support this technology have become more advanced. However, it is currently difficult for these individual systems to communicate with each other "out of the box.

Rooker et al. (2019) unexpectedly observed reductions in treatment-resistant self-injury while participants performed an operant task.

Choosing the best treatment approach and duration remains challenging because treatment response among these patients varies: some patients improve with treatment while others do not. A previous study examined treatment response variation in a sample of over 3500 patients enrolled in the MyLymeData patient registry developed by LymeDisease.

The structure of this metal carbide hydride features hydride ions in tetrahedral interstitial sites surrounded by lanthanum ions, which was confirmed by single-crystal neutron diffraction studies.

CSAs are pretreatment assessments designed to systematically identify stimuli that reduce problem behavior (PB), ostensibly through reinforcer competition or substitution. We report on the participant characteristics, outcomes, and predictive validity of published CSAs that included (a) no-stimulus control trial(s), (b) test trials during which each stimulus was available singly and noncontingently, and (c) measurement of PB and stimulus engagement or contact.

Analysis of the formate bending mode reveals a broad two-phase region surrounding the 4.2 GPa critical pressure that becomes increasingly sluggish below the order-disorder transition due to the extensive hydrogen-bonding network.

One question is whether this insensitivity is specific to Subtype 2 ASIB as response class in these contexts or whether it is represents a generalized response tendency of the individual that is evident across other response classes. To examine this question, we compared responding on a single-operant task under changing reinforcement schedules for three individuals with Subtype 2 ASIB, relative to a comparison group of three individuals with socially reinforced SIB (which is characterized by sensitivity to changes in reinforcement contingencies).

However, there are as yet no multicentre studies to assess the variety of bronchial pathology in this patient group. One of the underlying reasons is the lack of a consensus methodology, a prerequisite to jointly document chest CT findings.

Pulmonary hypertension is a serious condition with multiple underlying aetiologies which require different treatment strategies. We present a case of severe idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension in a 20-year-old patient with ongoing breathlessness. She was initially diagnosed with asthma and panic attacks in community care.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: SSc-pulmonary arterial hypertension (SSc-PAH) is associated with worse response to therapy and survival when compared with idiopathic PAH. It is suggested that the vasculopathy in SSc may involve postcapillary pulmonary venules resulting in pulmonary veno-occlusive disease (PVOD). This may underlie the lower gas transfer and worse outcome on therapy.

Oat avenanthramides (AVAs) are a group of phenolic alkaloids, consisting of an anthranilic acid and a hydroxycinnamic acid linked by a pseudo-peptide bond. Bioavailability of AVA is poor in humans, suggesting transformations for rapid excretion. Thus, we aim to identify metabolites of AVA isomers in plasma of humans after consuming AVA-enriched oats.

The cationic pseudo-square-planar complex tetrakis(1-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazole-2-thione-κS)gold(III) trichloride sesquihydrate, [Au(C4H6N2S)4]Cl3·1.5H2O, was isolated as dark-red crystals from the reaction of chloroauric acid trihydrate (HAuCl4·3H2O) with four equivalents of methimazole in methanol. The Au(III) atoms reside at the corners of the unit cell on an inversion center and are bound by the S atoms of four methimazole ligands in a planar arrangement, with S-Au-S bond angles of approximately 90°.
