, a traditional medicinal plant, is commonly found on the Tibetan Plateau at altitudes of 3100-5200 m. Its primary active medicinal compounds, flavonoids and phenylethanol glycosides (PhGs), exhibit various pharmacological effects, including hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, immunomodulatory, and antioxidant activities. This study analyzed flavonoid and PhG metabolites in the roots of collected from Henan County (HN), Guoluo County (GL), Yushu County (YS), and Chengduo County (CD) in Qinghai Province.

Electrolysis of natural seawater driven by renewable energy is practically attractive for green hydrogen production. However, because precipitation initiated by an increase in local pH near to the cathode deactivates catalysts or blocks electrolyzer channels, limited catalysts are capable of operating with untreated, natural seawater (., pH 8.

Using (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10}  J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, the process Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p is studied, where the Ξ^{0} baryon is produced in the process J/ψ→Ξ^{0}Ξ[over ¯]^{0} and the neutron is a component of the ^{9}Be, ^{12}C, and ^{197}Au nuclei in the beam pipe.

Using (10 087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative hyperon decay Σ^{+}→pγ is studied at an electron-positron collider experiment for the first time. The absolute branching fraction is measured to be (0.996±0.

We present the first measurements of the electric and magnetic form factors of the neutron in the timelike (positive q^{2}) region as function of four-momentum transfer. We explored the differential cross sections of the reaction e^{+}e^{-}→n[over ¯]n with data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 354.6  pb^{-1} in total at twelve center-of-mass energies between sqrt[s]=2.

The newly discovered nickelate superconductors so far only exist in epitaxial thin films synthesized by a topotactic reaction with metal hydrides. This method changes the nickelates from the perovskite to an infinite-layer structure by deintercalation of apical oxygens. Such a chemical reaction may introduce hydrogen (H), influencing the physical properties of the end materials.

Background A noninvasive coronary CT angiography (CCTA)-based radiomics technique may facilitate the identification of vulnerable plaques and patients at risk for future adverse events. Purpose To assess whether a CCTA-based radiomic signature (RS) of vulnerable plaques defined with intravascular US was associated with increased risk for future major adverse cardiac events (MACE). Materials and Methods In a retrospective study, an RS of vulnerable plaques was developed and validated using intravascular US as the reference standard.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common types of primary liver cancer and the third most frequent cause of cancer death worldwide. Diethylnitrosamine (DEN) is one of the recognized risk factors for hepatocarcinogenesis likely due to CYP2E1-mediated metabolic activation. However, CYP2E1-mediated DEN metabolic activity in non-neoplastic liver tissue from HCC patients has not been determined; the role of CYP2E1 activity, in particular CYP2E1 constitutive activity and CYP2E1 inhibited activity, with respect to the hepatocarcinogenesis induced by DEN is not yet clear.

A new anion sensor [Ru(bpy)(2)(DMBbimH(2))](PF(6))(2) (3) (bpy is 2, 2'-bipyridine and DMBbimH(2) is 7,7'-dimethyl-2,2'-bibenzimidazole) has been developed. Its photophysical, electrochemical and anion sensing properties are compared with two previously investigated systems, [Ru(bpy)(2)(BiimH(2))](PF(6))(2) (1) and [Ru(bpy)(2)(BbimH(2))](PF(6))(2) (2) (BiimH(2) is 2,2'-biimidazole and BbimH(2) is 2,2'-bibenzimidazole). The high acidity of the N-H fragments in these complexes make them easy to be deprotonated by strong basic anions such as F(-) and OAc(-), and they form N-H···X hydrogen bonds with weak basic anions like Cl(-), Br(-), I(-), NO(3)(-), and HSO(4)(-).

Silicon surfaces with nanoscale etched patterns were obtained using polystyrene-block-poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) block copolymer films as templates, followed by brief immersion in HF(aq). The resulting interfaces were comprised of pseudohexagonal arrays of pits on the silicon, whose shapes depended upon the chosen silicon orientation. The top unetched face of silicon remains capped by the native oxide, and the pit interiors are terminated by Si-H(x).

This paper developed a sensitive and specific liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method for the determination of decapeptide LXT-101 in Beagle dog plasma. Plasma samples spiked with internal standard (IS) were treated with acetonitrile to precipitate the protein. Selected reaction monitoring (SRM) using the precursor --> product ion combinations of m/z 472.

Background: Exposure to actual or simulated weightlessness is known to induce orthostatic intolerance in humans. Many different methods have been suggested to counteract orthostatic hypotension. The repetitive or prolonged application of lower body negative pressure (LBNP) has shown beneficial effects to counter orthostatic intolerance, but devoting so much time to countermeasures is not compatible with space mission objectives or costs.

As a dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), 3,3',4,4'-tetrachlorobiphenyl (TCB) is receiving increasing research and regulatory interest due to its high toxicity and persistence in the environment. (14)C-TCB was administered at an identical dose of 300 microg via the intravenous (iv) or dermal route to swine to examine the exposure route dependency of the relationship between tissue exposure and blood area under the curve (AUC) and the relationship between dermal absorption and excretion of radiolabel. After iv and dermal exposure, blood, urine, and feces samples were collected during the 11-day in vivo studies.
