CD73, an ectoenzyme responsible for adenosine production, is often elevated in immuno-suppressive tumor environments. Inhibition of CD73 activity holds great promise as a therapeutic strategy for CD73-expressing cancers. In this study, we have developed a therapeutic anti-human CD73 antibody cocktail, HB0045.

Objective: To investigate the correlation between bone marrow microvascular density, angiogenesis factors and bortezomib resistance in multiple myeloma (MM).
Methods: The data of 200 patients with MM treated in our hospital from January 2020 to August 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients with MM were divided into drug-resistant group(=68) and non-drug-resistant group(=132) according to their drug resistance during bortezomib treatment. The univariate and multivariate logistic analysis were used to screen the independent influencing factors of bortezomib resistance in MM patients during treatment.
Background Traditional energy-integrating detector CT has limited utility in accurately quantifying liver fat due to protocol-induced CT value shifts, but this limitation can be addressed by using photon-counting detector (PCD) CT, which allows for a standardized CT value. Purpose To develop and validate a universal CT to MRI fat conversion formula to enhance fat quantification accuracy across various PCD CT protocols relative to MRI proton density fat fraction (PDFF). Materials and Methods In this prospective study, the feasibility of fat quantification was evaluated in phantoms with various nominal fat fractions.

The P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) plays a key role in CKD progression. Our previous P2X7R antagonists demonstrated good efficacy for treating kidney injury but were limited by low oral exposure and short half-life, restricting their application.

Emerging evidence has revealed that arachidonic acid derivatives and pathway factors link metabolic disorders to cardiovascular risks and intimately participate in the progression and severity of cardiometabolic diseases. In this review, we systemically summarized and updated the biological functions of arachidonic acid pathways in cardiometabolic diseases, mainly focusing on heart failure, hypertension, atherosclerosis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, obesity, and diabetes.

However, the specific pathogenic role of M2 macrophages and the intrinsic regulators in the development of CRS remains elusive.
Objective: We sought to investigate the regulatory role of SIRT5 in the polarization of M2 macrophages and its potential contribution to the development of CRSwNP.
Background: A rapid and precise etiological diagnosis is crucial for the effective treatment of bloodstream infection (BSI). In this study, the performance of probe capture-based targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS) was compared to that of blood culture and metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) in detecting potential pathogens in patients with BSI.
Methods: A total of 80 patients with suspected BSI were prospectively enrolled from 24 November 2023 to 30 December 2023 at Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai, China.
Background: Albeit considered with superior survival, around 30% of the early-stage non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (Ns-NSCLC) patients relapse within 5 years, suggesting unique biology. However, the biological characteristics of early-stage Ns-NSCLC, especially in the Chinese population, are still unclear.
Methods: Multi-omics interrogation of early-stage Ns-NSCLC (stage I-III), paired blood samples and normal lung tissues (n=76) by whole-exome sequencing (WES), RNA sequencing, and T-cell receptor (TCR) sequencing were conducted.
Background And Objectives: Previous studies have linked the MRI measures of perivascular spaces (PVSs), diffusivity along the perivascular spaces (DTI-ALPS), and free water (FW) to cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) and SVD-related cognitive impairments. However, studies on the longitudinal associations between the three MRI measures, SVD progression, and cognitive decline are lacking. This study aimed to explore how PVS, DTI-ALPS, and FW contribute to SVD progression and cognitive decline.

Methods: Osteoporosis patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were selected, and the medical records of patients were consulted through the Hospital Information System (HIS) and the data management platform of osteoporosis patients, so as to screen patients who met the criteria for admission and discharge and collect data. SPSS 26.
CD1d-restricted invariant NKT (iNKT) cells play a critical role in tumor immunity. However, the scarcity and limited persistence restricts their development and clinical application. Here, we demonstrated that iNKT cells could be efficiently expanded using modified cytokines combination from peripheral blood mononuclear cells.

Nevertheless, integrative pharmaco-proteogenomics analysis for drug response features and biomarker investigation for precision therapy of patients with liver cancer are still lacking. We established a patient-derived liver cancer organoid biobank (LICOB) that comprehensively represents the histological and molecular characteristics of various liver cancer types as determined by multiomics profiling, including genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analysis.

Methods: In a multicenter trial in China, we enrolled patients with ischemic stroke without occlusion of large or medium-sized vessels and with a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 5 or more and at least one moderately to severely weak limb. Eligible patients had any of four clinical presentations: ineligible for thrombolysis or thrombectomy and within 24 hours after the patient was last known to be well; progression of stroke symptoms 24 to 96 hours after onset; early neurologic deterioration after thrombolysis; or thrombolysis with no improvement at 4 to 24 hours.
Background: Structural network damage is a potentially important mechanism by which cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) can cause cognitive impairment. As a central hub of the structural network, the role of thalamus in SVD-related cognitive impairments remains unclear. We aimed to determine the associations between the structural alterations of thalamic subregions and cognitive impairments in SVD.

Eriocalyxins H-L have unique structural characteristics featuring a 5-epi-ent-kaurane diterpenoid scaffold with eriocalyxins H-K also possess an unusual 6,11-epoxyspiro-lactone ring while eriocalyxin L, a 1,7:3,20-diepoxy-ent kaurene, features an 1,7-oxygen linkage. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data interpretation, and the absolute configurations of eriocalyxins H, I, L, and M were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
