Purpose: Facial nerve schwannomas (FNSs) are rare intracranial tumors, and the optimal management of these tumors remains unclear. We investigated the long-term follow-up results of FNS with good facial nerve function.
Methods: At nine medical centers in the Korean Facial Nerve Study Group, 43 patients undergoing observation periods longer than 12 months for FNS with good facial nerve function (House-Brackmann grade ≤ II) were enrolled, and clinical and radiographic data were obtained for these cases.
Background: Imaging-estimated tumour extent after neoadjuvant chemotherapy tends to be discordant with the pathological extent. The authors aimed to prospectively determine the proportion of decisions regarding total mastectomy for potential breast-conserving surgery candidates owing to false size prediction with imaging in neoadjuvant chemotherapy and non-neoadjuvant chemotherapy patients.
Materials And Methods: The authors prospectively enroled clinical stage II or III breast cancer patients who are scheduled for total mastectomy between 2018 and 2021.
A search for the standard model (SM) Higgs boson (H) produced with transverse momentum (p_{T}) greater than 450 GeV and decaying to a charm quark-antiquark (cc[over ¯]) pair is presented. The search is performed using proton-proton collision data collected at sqrt[s]=13 TeV by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1}. Boosted H→cc[over ¯] decay products are reconstructed as a single large-radius jet and identified using a deep neural network charm tagging technique.

Methods: Gd-enhanced MRI imagines were examined in 13 patients with idiopathic acute facial palsy within 14 days after the onset. The degree of facial nerve function was measured according to the House-Brackmann (H-B) grading system at their first visit at outpatient clinic.
Background The 2017 international consensus guidelines for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the pancreas are widely used. Purpose To evaluate the interobserver agreement and diagnostic performance of MRI assessment in predicting the malignant potential of IPMN according to radiologists' experience. Materials and Methods This multicenter retrospective study included 100 patients with pathologically proven pancreatic IPMN (77 patients with surgery, 23 patients with biopsy) who underwent contrast-enhanced MRI between 2016 and 2021.

Through the merger of the two devices, we attempted to acquire detailed anatomy of the posterior eye.
Methods: Optical and display distortions in OCT images were corrected using the Listing reduced eye model.
Background: Hyperkalemia (HK) may be associated with poor clinical outcomes among COVID-19 patients. This study aimed to describe the prevalence of HK and evaluate the associations between HK and in-hospital mortality, intensive care unit (ICU) admission, length of hospital stay (LOS), and hospitalization cost among COVID-19 inpatients.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted using a large hospital discharge database (PINC AI Healthcare Database) for COVID-19 inpatients discharged between April 1 and August 31, 2020.
Immune checkpoint inhibitors demonstrate clinical activity in many tumor types, however, only a fraction of patients benefit. Combining CD137 agonists with these inhibitors increases anti-tumor activity preclinically, but attempts to translate these observations to the clinic have been hampered by systemic toxicity. Here we describe a human CD137xPD-L1 bispecific antibody, MCLA-145, identified through functional screening of agonist- and immune checkpoint inhibitor arm combinations.

Purpose To evaluate whether a standard MRI protocol is sufficient to exclude high-level or advanced ALNM in breast cancer or additional MRI of entire axilla is needed. Materials and Methods This retrospective study evaluated women with invasive breast cancer who underwent breast MRI from April 2015 to December 2016.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional, observational, retrospective study across 6 continents, 70 countries, and 457 stroke centers. Diagnoses were identified by their ICD-10 codes or classifications in stroke databases.
The first observation of the tt[over ¯]H process in a single Higgs boson decay channel with the full reconstruction of the final state (H→γγ) is presented, with a significance of 6.6 standard deviations (σ). The CP structure of Higgs boson couplings to fermions is measured, resulting in an exclusion of the pure CP-odd structure of the top Yukawa coupling at 3.

Background Cardiovascular magnetic resonance can demonstrate myocardial processes in Fabry disease (FD), such as low native T1 (sphingolipid storage) and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE, scar). Recently, high T2 (edema) has been observed in the basal inferolateral wall along with troponin elevation. We hypothesized that edema and myocyte injury would be chronically associated and have electrical, mechanical, and disease associations in FD.

After surgery, the cystic lesions gradually diminished in size, and a complete regression was confirmed in Case 2 by ultrasonography. The dogs maintained good condition without clinical signs of renal compromise for 14 months (Case 1) and 24 months (Case 2).

Purpose To develop a clinical model to predict residual axillary LN metastasis in patients with clinically node-positive breast cancer after NAC by using MRI and US. Materials and Methods In this retrospective study, women with clinically node-positive breast cancer who were treated with NAC following surgery between January 2015 and September 2017 were included.

Materials and Methods In this retrospective, single-institution study between October 2003 and September 2015, 548 consecutive women, consisting of 468 down-staged and 80 preplanned BCS patients (mean age, 45.7 years; range, 22-75 years), underwent preoperative MRI and BCS following NAC.

We present a novel way to select for highly polygenic traits. For millennia, humans have used observable phenotypes to selectively breed stronger or more productive livestock and crops. Selection on genotype, using single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and genome profiling, is also now applied broadly in livestock breeding programs; however, selection on protein/peptide or mRNA expression markers has not yet been proven useful.

Background: Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a significant cause of sudden cardiac death in the young. Improved noninvasive assessment of ARVC and better understanding of the disease substrate are important for improving patient outcomes.
Methods And Results: We studied 20 genotyped ARVC patients with a broad spectrum of disease using electrocardiographic imaging (a method for noninvasive cardiac electrophysiology mapping) and advanced late gadolinium enhancement cardiac magnetic resonance scar imaging.
