(1) : The worldwide endometrial cancer (EC) incidence is rising, amongst others linked to obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and metabolic syndrome, possibly due to low-grade adipose tissue inflammation. We studied immune cell infiltration in the endometrium in relation to diagnosis and obesity. (2) : A cohort was created ( = 44) from postmenopausal women, lean ( = 15) and obese ( = 29), with bleeding complaints due to EC ( = 18) or benign pathology ( = 26).

2',3'-Cyclic nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase (CNPase) is an abundant constituent of central nervous system non-compact myelin, and its loss in mice and humans causes neurodegeneration. Additionally, CNPase is frequently used as a marker antigen for myelinating cells. The catalytic activity of CNPase, the 3'-hydrolysis of 2',3'-cyclic nucleotides, is well characterised in vitro, but the in vivo function of CNPase remains unclear.

Many chemical reactions affect only a rather small number of bonds, leaving the largest part of the chemical and geometrical structure of the molecules nearly unchanged. In this work we extended the previously proposed region method [J. Chem.

Background: Precise preoperative risk classification of endometrial cancer is crucial for treatment decisions. Existing clinical markers often fail to accurately predict lymph node metastasis and recurrence risk. Loss of vimentin expression has emerged as a potential marker for predicting recurrence in low-risk endometrial cancer patients.

Hereditary spastic paraplegias (HSPs) are a diverse set of neurological disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and weakness in the lower limbs caused by damage to the axons of the corticospinal tract. More than 88 genetic mutations have been associated with HSP, yet the mechanisms underlying these disorders are not well understood. We replicated the pathophysiology of one form of HSP known as spastic paraplegia 15 (SPG15) in zebrafish.
