SN514 is a thermolysin-like enzyme under development as a debrider. Preclinical and non-clinical studies supported a first in human healthy volunteer study to predict the need for protection of periwound skin. Pharmacologic activity testing compared digestion of collagen, fibrin, and elastin with relevant enzymes.

Lived experiences of older adults within an integrated hospital-at-home service: an interpretive phenomenological analysis.

Background: The Hospital at Home (HaH) service has developed and evolved over the past few years with the Covid-19 pandemic and improved the integration of care in the community from acute hospital settings. Despite these advancements, there remains a limited understanding of patients' lived experiences with the HaH service. This study aims to explore the experiences and perceptions of older adults who have received HaH services to inform future quality improvement initiatives.

UK Foot and Ankle Thromboembolism (UK-FATE).

Aims: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a potential complication of foot and ankle surgery. There is a lack of agreement on contributing risk factors and chemical prophylaxis requirements. The primary outcome of this study was to analyze the 90-day incidence of symptomatic VTE and VTE-related mortality in patients undergoing foot and ankle surgery and Achilles tendon (TA) rupture.

Defining capabilities in deployed UK military prehospital emergency care.

The UK military prehospital emergency care (PHEC) operational clinical capability framework must be updated in order that it retains its use as a valid operational planning tool. Specific requirements include accurately defining the PHEC levels and the '' (MERT), while reinforcing PHEC as a specialist area of clinical practice that requires an assured set of competencies at all levels and mandatory clinical currency for vocational providers.A military PHEC review panel was convened by the Defence Consultant Advisor (DCA) for PHEC.

Pafolacianine for intraoperative molecular imaging of cancer in the lung: The ELUCIDATE trial.

Objective: The study objective was to determine the clinical utility of pafolacianine, a folate receptor-targeted fluorescent agent, in revealing by intraoperative molecular imaging folate receptor α positive cancers in the lung and narrow surgical margins that may otherwise be undetected with conventional visualization.

Methods: In this Phase 3, 12-center trial, 112 patients with suspected or biopsy-confirmed cancer in the lung scheduled for sublobar pulmonary resection were administered intravenous pafolacianine within 24 hours before surgery. Participants were randomly assigned to surgery with or without intraoperative molecular imaging (10:1 ratio).
