Background And Purpose: activities-based locomotor training (AB-LT) is a restorative therapeutic approach to the treatment of movement deficits in people with non-progressive neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy (CP). Transcutaneous spinal stimulation (TSS) is an emerging tool in the rehabilitation of individuals with sensorimotor deficits caused by neurological dysfunction. This non-invasive technique delivers electrical stimulation over the spinal cord, leading to the modulation of spinal sensorimotor networks.

Background: As populations age, low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are rapidly adapting hospital services to meet the needs of older populations. This systematic review aimed to establish the prevalence of frailty and pre-frailty amongst older people admitted to hospital in LMICs, and to compare levels with existing estimates for high-income settings.

Methods: Databases Medline, Embase, CINAHL and PsychInfo were searched, and results were manually screened by two researchers.

Article Synopsis
  • Pediatric low-grade gliomas (pLGGs) show varying treatment responses and poor outcomes when complete tumor removal isn't possible, making early treatment prediction important.
  • A radiogenomic analysis combining MRI and RNA sequencing reveals three immune clusters in pLGGs, with one cluster having higher immune activity but worse prognosis, suggesting they might benefit from immunotherapy.
  • A developed radiomic signature accurately predicts these immune profiles and progression-free survival, identifying high-risk patients for potential targeted therapies.

Background: Identify opportunities to improve syphilis screening by describing changes in patient characteristics and risk factors among individuals with syphilis and by comparing cases with and without an indication for syphilis screening.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study used Colorado public health surveillance data to identify 8,326 syphilis diagnoses from 2011-2020. Demographics, clinical characteristics, and risk factors were compared across 2-year groups and between individuals with and without an indication for screening.
