Objective: The impact of migraine on physical, social, and emotional performance is considerable, yet it remains an underdiagnosed disorder. ID-Migraine is a validated migraine-screening tool developed to facilitate diagnosis. This study evaluated the validity and use of the Turkish version of the ID-Migraine screener (ID-Ms) in the workplace, and measured the impact of headache on disability, productivity, and quality of life among the workforce.

Neurosurgical results in 42 patients operated on for cervical spine dislocations or fracture-dislocations are described. The study shows that repositioning with the Crutchfield extension is almost always successful. Imbricated fractures must occasionally be repositioned surgically (2 cases).

Two young women developed encephalopathy, hearing loss and retinal arteriolar occlusions. Their behaviour became immature and cognitive functions were severely impaired. One of the patients underwent brain biopsy, which showed several microinfarcts in both white and grey matter and microangiopathic changes, with thickened arteriolar segments staining intensely for laminin and fibronectin.

Monozygotic twin sisters were afflicted by a chronic progressive neurological disease characterized by slurred speech, nystagmus and oculogyral spasms as well as further extrapyramidal and lower motor neuron abnormalities. At autopsy severe loss of nigral and craniospinal motor neurons was noted. In the nuclei of most nerve cell types of the central and peripheral nervous system, roundish inclusion bodies of 3 to 10 microns in diameter were found.
